We loved the location, the newness and style of the interior and the atmosphere of the patio. The place was very clean and organized. We would definitely stay again. It would be nice to have a portable clothes drying rack to hang laundry after washing and the beach. Also, it would be nice to have a few extra condiments, olive oils etc. for cooking.

Surf Spot is perfectly located. It’s just a few blocks from the beach which we went to every day. But also only about 20-25 min walk to some of the best cafes and restaurants in La Jolla village and La Jolla cove. I previously stayed in the cove and actually preferred this location due to the proximity to Windasea Beach. The bedroom in the unit was larger than expected (a dresser would have been nice for a longer stay) but lots of cupboard style storage! The kitchen had everything we needed and even included a Brita filter which I appreciated. Beach chairs and beach towels were also included. The patio was a great spot for a pre dinner drink or morning coffee also. The sofa bed was more futon style which I didn’t expect but still worked!

Very nicely appointed, excellent condition, beautiful balcony, easy access to many fun restaurants, short walk to a very nice beach. Hassle free communication and check-in. This is located at a busy intersection with a main thoroughfare, so the truck and traffic noise is high in the mornings. Evenings were nice and quiet.
