This place is incredible. The view you have from the mail bedroom and the roof top is really amazing. The house is very well maintained, well decorated. We felt like home. The house is much better than what you would expect from looking at the building from the outside. Ideal for a couple with kids or 2 couples. The only issues we didn't like about this rental are:
1) a cop stopped me when walking on the beach with my dog at about 11am and told me that IT IS PROHIBITED to walk with your dog on the beach or the walkway from 8am until 4pm!!! I was looking fwd. on walking with my dog at different times of the day and that was not possible. Is not the renter's fault, but if you have a dog is good that you know this. The cop told me to go with my dog to DOG BEACH at OCEAN BEACH!!
2) the main bedroom is very small. It can barely fit the queen size bed. Still, the bed is so comfortable and the view was so amazing that we didn't care.
We will stay here again for sure in the future.

Amazing place and location. My kids loved the bunk beds but the fire pit was the best. Lots of sand and beach toys. Only thing missing was Wine glasses, only 2.

The property was fantastic. Very well appointed rooms/bedrooms, plenty of family “elbow room,” and the outdoor area from the penthouse view of the ocean was breathtaking. We never did figure out how to get the heat working on level two, but it ended up not being a problem since we turned on the fireplace unit in the bedroom during chilly evenings. Plenty of pots, pans, plates and other amenities for day–to-day living. Living quarters were more than roomy enough for my family of eight adults who needed an excess of family space “elbow room.” The only reason I didn’t give the highest rating for the cleanliness of the property was because the level two floors were pretty gritty. My husband and I, who were the hosts, chose the level two master bedroom accommodations. I like to walk around my living area, barefoot..even in East Coast December cold. I could not do that because the level two floors were quite gritty. The level three floors were fine. My family’s cleanliness experience otherwise was very good. The reservation, check-in and checkout processes were very easy and good.

Wonderful house, wonderful location. The beach is a quick easy 5 minute walk away with a number of good restaurants along the way.

Overall very comfortable place - centrally located for us since we wanted to do a lot of hiking (north) but still go to the beach, La Jolla, zoo, etc. kitchen was good, with all necessary equipment and a good grill outside. We cooked a few dinners and had everything we needed. No basics beyond salt and pepper, but that’s ok. The pans and other utensils were actually higher quality and in good shape. Plenty of space to lounge around. Large grocery nearby. The garage is tight, but we found backing in with one person guiding worked best. We had a GM Trax smaller SUV. Anything larger would not likely fit. It was very nice to have a garage because street parking was crowded. Two beds, and the third bed is a pull out in the main room. Worked well for a couple with two adult children. Would book again. Also easy entry and check in/out without hassle or any extra tasks.

This was a pleasant experience and very up to standrads. We have rented other on the water / private beach access locations in SoCal and this was by far the best yet.
Clean, peaceful, great locaation, great neighbors, good parking, many home accomodations.
We are very senstive to smells (glade plug-ins, air fresheners, etc.) and we were thankful we coudln't detect any chemical smells in this home.....nor any bad odor!
Nothing bad to say, only good. We told our family about it and they now want to book as well!

Great communication with the host and it was a very comfortable place to stay. King size bed in the master bedroom was great.

Comfortable and spacious living area with plenty of room for everyone to lounge and chill! Lovely large primary bedroom and bathroom, with a nice balcony! Good 1st floor bed and bath. Unit was clean upon arrival and entry was easy. Location is super walkable to everything in La Jolla Shores. The only down side, is there’s no outside space to hang out or dine and the street noise (Buses) is noticeable if the windows or sliders are open.

I wanted to be able to look out at the ocean all day and have a quiet retreat. This was perfect and bonus was ability to walk to grocery store and restaurants. Beach is ideal for running and watching surfers. The unit had everything we needed.

Balcony is gorgeous! Unbelievable views. We had a wonderful trip and this house had everything we needed. The train horns were a little loud at night, but with the windows closed, it was fine.

This is an amazing weekend with friends and family. We were able to easily cook Thanksgiving dinner and sit with family inside and outside the unit. Very quiet neighborhood yet one block from the beach. Awesome!

The house was very cute and very modern. The bathrooms were clean and good facilities. The bed very comfortable. The location is excellent. A quick walk down to the waterfront and near so many great restaurants. The host made it very easy to check in and check out. The only small downside is that there are two wooden staircases that are very slick. We were traveling with our dog and she slid on the staircase and fell. I wish the stairs had a carpeted runner. It could be potentially dangerous. But Ioved absolutely everything else about the place.
