My family of 6 adults and 2 children stayed in this wonderful home. It was perfect for our group. The house was spacious, well cared for, clean, with a fully stocked kitchen and located on a great spot on the island. We said it had the best of both worlds—we were nestled into greenery and nature with only a 5 minute boardwalk trot to the beach. The amenity cards got us into the pool at Seabrook, which was just a .5 mile walk down the beach—the perfect amount of exercise on vacation :) The pool also had a nice restaurant overlooking the ocean that was great for lunches. The drive into Charleston was about 45 minutes, with the beautiful old oaks dangling with Spanish moss making the drive feel quick and scenic. The island itself is well maintained, full of nature, and very residential. It was very dog friendly, and we also saw a lot of deer, frogs, lizards, & bunnies (luckily we didn't spot the gators we heard local folks talking about). You can also see the sea turtles and dolphins if you go to certain spots on the island at specific times of day. We hope to come back and visit this house many times in the future for our yearly visit to the Charleston area.
