Once again I had an extraordinary time at Seabrook. My Pelican Watch rental villa was wonderful, but with a few quirks. The hot and cold water are reversed in the kitchen sink and when the faucet is on water splashes all over unless one keeps the flow very low!. The curtains are not very effective at keeping out the light when the sun is bright, so watching TV in the daytime is problematic and working on a computer has to be done away from the windows. Once I made the appropriate accommodations to the quirks, all went well. And the view is spectacular. I would have liked to return to 1325 next year, but, unfortunately, the owner's plans prohibit that. The staff at Coastal Getaways were - as always - really good to work with and quickly solved any issues that I had. One big factor in my choice of Seabrook is the dog friendly atmosphere. Not only is it good for the dogs' socialization, but it makes it easy for a single person (I'm recently widowed) to meet people and to not feel isolated. I'm very glad I found Seabrook Island and am looking forward to my return.
