ts. There isn’t just one thing we could name that we enjoy most about Seabrook Island. We love it all. This year in particular the weather was spectacular with the exception of maybe one day. We love the Lake House area and this year we tried our hand at fishing in the lake. Unfortunately, the fish were able to avoid our bait even though we offered delicious hotdogs. The Island house which houses some conference rooms, dining area and lounge is beautiful. The lounge overlooks the golf area and the dining area overlooks the beach and ocean. The pro shop is on the first floor and my husband enjoyed multiple rounds of golf on the well cared for course. The people you meet on Seabrook are the most friendly. And if you stay a month like we did you will come across the same people walking the beach each day and get to know them and usually their 4 legged canine friend. Speaking of the beach, it is so convenient to Tarpon Pond. Each day we could walk to one end of the beach, say Beach entrance 1 or 2 and walk all the way down to entrance 7. Sometimes if the tide is out enough you could go all the way around the point to entrance 9. And if you have your canine friend, the beaches are dog friendly and off leash is allowed. The equestrian center on the island offers beach rides and it’s very common to see horses on the beach each day. 546 Tarpon house was just as pictured and has everything you could need as many reviews of this house state. The location and view is spectacular and I’d say we spent most of our time on the 4 season room. The small TV in this room was perfect for me to use when my husband was watching something else in the family room area. The house sits along the fairway of the 17th hole of Ocean Winds course. We would set up some chairs along the cart path and with our well behaved dog next to us watched the golfers go by. Many would stop and talk to us and our dog and even the beverage cart person would stop and offer dog treats to the dog. There is always wildlife to observe from birds to deer and alligators along the marsh area. Keep your distance on that last one. Coastal Getaways is so easy and accommodating to work with. We had no issues during our stay but rented from them a couple years prior to this one and they were right on top of anything we needed. Their welcome emails give you everything you need to know about the house. The kitchen is small but especially if you are only visiting for a week perfectly functional. There’s just no gathering a group to help cook in that area. If I had to comment on anything negative about 546, it would be that the master bedroom mattress has seen better days and was too soft for my husband’s back and even the slightest movement is felt by the other person. He found the other mattresses to be just fine so keep that it in mind should you have back issues. I also would have loved to paint the end tables in the maser bedroom in a light color to cover the wear and tear on them and brighten it up to match the rest of the coastal decor feel of this house. This house has 4 bikes. I found one that I could use but be aware that each one has a consistent noise when riding. There was one that was less noisy and I appreciated being able to have that available for use. Maybe some type of tune up can be made to rectify this problem. Again, this was just my hang up and others my not find it a problem. I’d still give this house a 5/5 because all the good outweighs the negative and to prove that we rented again for a month for 2023.

Our stay was great! We love Seabrook Island so much and everything it has to offer. The 546 Tarpon Pond cottage is great - lots of space, well appointed, great location, super clean, some really nice finishes. I actually think it's underpriced (or at the very least a great value) based on other properties I looked at and the many we have stayed at over the years. It's a real gem.

We had a wonderful time staying at this Tarpon Pond cottage! It's spacious, well appointed and decorated, lots of new updates, and in an absolutely great location on the island. We would definitely love to stay here again! And Seabrook Island is a dream. Our favorite place in the world! Beaches, tennis, bike-riding, horse-back riding, golf, relaxing...everything we love to do on vacation.

The perfect location for our family to Come together for the holiday! We loved the house, had wonderful family dinners, and finally got to see a sunrise over the Atlantic. A wonderful base for our family vacay. Can’t wait to stay here again!

We loved everything: the beach, the Lake House, the wonderful staff everywhere. The natural beauty of the entire community. We thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities. The Equestrian Center is a huge benefit for our horse-loving granddaughter. Basketball pick-up games are a huge plus for our grandson. Our son loves the golf course(even though he didn’t get to play this trip). The cottage was lovely. Nancy was so helpful, from beginning to end. All the correspondence ahead of our trip was great. It seems to me that your company has thought of everything! >
