Love the setting and walking on the beach.

Lovely setting, great for walking along the Beach!

The house is great , the island is beautiful.Our impression of the property is that it is clean and well kept. However, there are a few things the owners might consider.       Speaking of elements, the porch awning is in need of replacement. All it would take is one stiff wind and the presently tattered fabric would be in the next postal code. We were afraid to use it. However, it would provide more coverage than the table umbrella and would be a thoughtful addition for guests.   The kitchen is appointed in a haphazard way. I found the lack of dish cloths and dish towels, well, frustrating while I was cooking and cleaning up after. Adding the towels along with some cloth napkins would be so user friendly not to mention environmentally sound. We try to use less paper especially when we are in an environmentally sensitive location such as ocean and estuaries. And one last kitchen item: the dishwasher. It is seriously dated. It makes a ton of noise. It needs replaced with a more efficient model. Enough said.

Wonderful! The villa was lovely: so beautifully decorated, well-stocked, with magnificent views, immaculately clean, and (lucky for us) pet friendly. This oceanfront villa was on an incredibly beautiful and uncrowded beach, with breathtaking sunsets. We and our little pup loved our long beach walks, especially those leading to the untouched, natural scenery in the direction of the North Edisto River. We also enjoyed seeing the deer walk by the villa most mornings.We were able to completely relax and enjoy every day. The closeness to Freshfields shops, Charleston, and Edisto Beach for short excursions was also very much a plus.Many thanks to Coastal Getaways and the property owners for such a lovely experience. To the owners, thank you also for making your villa pet friendly.
