We had a spectacularly relaxing time at 2065 Salt Marsh. The home is beautifully appointed and well supplied with all the things you will need for a great vacation and the elevator made checking in and out a breeze. Salt Marsh’s location, just outside the Seabrook main gate, was perfect for us with easy access to Freshfields Village, Kiawah restaurants and a closer drive to Charleston. The uncrowded beach (we liked boardwalk 6) and Seabrook clubhouse and golf were less than a 10 minute drive through the Club and the Lake House and tennis were a 5 minute walk. The lovely and quiet Salt Marsh neighborhood pool was ideal for us as the pool at the Beach Club was pretty busy. My family has been coming to Charleston and its beaches for many years but it was our first time staying at Seabrook. The whole “private club” experience (versus “resort”) is really what appealed to us. As Seabrook membership has grown (the Covid effect) renters do have a little less access to Club dining than we expected but do have full use of all the other facilities with the amenity card and we found very friendly service at the pro shop and throughout the Club. We have always stayed ocean-front or near ocean and this was our first time staying on the marsh. I may have been turned into a “marsh guy”! The unobstructed view from the screen porch and master bedroom provided endless vistas and amazing sunsets. I loved going for mind-clearing walks on the long boardwalk that leads to the Salt Marsh’s private dock. The team at Coastal Getaways provided responsive and friendly service which helped make our stay hassle-free and very enjoyable.
