The dune, beach and island view is incredibly nice from the balcony of the condo with deer frequenting the area right below. A resident pair of painted buntings (amazing blue, orange and green male and his mostly green mate) were hanging around the deck as well. The beach to the right of the very private end unit is essentially undeveloped and if you walk down a ways it fronts the river on one side and beautiful marsh on the other - really quite spectacular. We saw dolphins off the beach and the pelicans, gulls and skimmers are active non-stop.
The two things that are a mixed blessing are:
1. the island is totally exclusive so you only have access to the beach from your condo and limited walk thrus at some other spots, but on the other hand the beach is quiet and secluded.
2. the ocean front is guarded by Deveau Bank - a small barrier island in front of the beach that makes it seem a little more bay front than ocean front. You can, however, see past the island straight out to the ocean.
One great thing is that the location is convenient to very reasonable boat rentals at Bohicket Marina (that was truly awesome).
The place was spotless, great water pressure in the showers, fully appointed kitchen, comfy king bed. There is a wall mounted fan on the deck that is just the touch for keeping people cool and bugs at bay. Internet was rock solid.
