My family and I love coming to Surfside Beach every year and we love staying at Silver Springs. Here’s why: Coffee on the porch in the morning. When the sun rises, the palms provide great shade! It’s also great for just hanging out here after a day on the beach. Beach Access is just a few steps to the left or right! You have your choice of the 11th Ave and 12th Ave access. We absolutely love the beach in Surfside. Open concept dining and living room. There is plenty of room for family and friends to gather, eat, play games, and the furniture is comfortable. The kitchen is great for preparing meals. So much counter space with everything you need. The extra bar space and sink are perfect for making your afternoon cocktails. There is also ample pantry space. The mattresses are comfortable! (If you are like me, this is very important!) Washer and Dryer – no one wants to go home with wet beach towels stinking up the car. Just saying! Finally, the entire house has always been immaculately clean and stocked with all the kitchen necessities such as a coffee maker, dishes, glass ware, and utensils that we have ever needed. Other Fabulous Tidbits: The Surfside community holds up to its moniker “The Family Beach”. We have always found the town to be clean, well maintained, and very quiet for the most part. Golf cart rides in this quaint little beach town never disappoint. Blocks of well-manicured homes, small ponds, and playgrounds are within minutes of Silver Springs. 4th of July Golf Cart Parade! This event is just good ole wholesome family fun. For years we would decorate our golf cart and participate in the parade. So many parade participants and so many bystanders watching the parade. It truly is a wonderful feeling of community. After the parade, it’s time to hit the beach for the flyover and in the evening, watch fireworks on the beach. Surfside Beach Farmers Market on Tuesday mornings. There is nothing like tomato sandwiches (or BLT’s) and fresh fruit on the beach for lunch. The tomatoes and cantaloupe from Aynor Farms at the farmers market can’t be beat. There are so many good vendors at the Farmers Market. After that, shop the book nook at the library for your next beach read. One of our favorite things to do is get shrimp and crab legs from Harrelson’s. It’s so good! They will even cook it for you. Bring that yumminess back to Silver Springs and enjoy!
