Lauren was helpful with our reservation process & very nice both on phone & e-mails. Our family had a great vacation. We liked the on-beach location & private pool. The perfect weather was an additional plus. The home is nice & furnished nicely. However, we continued to be amazed all week at how dirty we found dishes, pots & pans, silver ware, & utensils. We needed to buy a scrubber to scrub the table on the porch before we could use it. It had old food crusted on it & it turned everything black when touching it. After continually finding dirty or worn out pans & pots (that we tried to scrub), we gave up & didn't use them. Spatulas, knives, cheese grater, etc. all had old food crusted on them. We scrubbed the ones we had to use & gave up on others. The cheese grater we never used because we felt we could not get old bacteria removed. We noticed as soon as we arrived that the handle on master toilet was broken. The repairman came & was very nice in fixing it. He also removed a couple broken rockers from the porch we could not use. Also, the lock on door from living room to porch was broken. We kept it on shelf so it would not be lost & replaced on door when we left. We like the area & our family would like another vacation together at a beach house. Because of the disappointment in the cleanliness of the place, we think we will be looking elsewhere. We have rented homes & condos all over the country & have never experienced dirty kitchen items like we did here.
