For Stay Sept 2016...With family and friends out for our daughter's wedding in Boston last September we wanted a place immediately afterward for an extended reunion. It was all made possible on a quiet road in this spacious, clean and comfortable home for our party of all ages consisting of 8 adults, a couple of children, and even a dog. We really enjoyed the open layout with lots of room for gathering in a large cathedral ceiling kitchen/dining area with a deck off the back, plus a full living room. And everyone had more of their own space and privacy with 3 bedrooms and a full bath on the main level and another 2 bedrooms and a full bath on the lower level. All rooms on all levels have full-sized windows for lots of natural lighting. Also nice being able to walk to nearby beaches and restaurants, coming back rinsing off in the outdoor shower and then relaxing with drinks and grilling on the deck. And for more shops and establishments we could drive less than 10 minutes in either direction to the centers of Chatham or Harwichport. Hoping to be staying again this coming season!

For Sept 2016 Stay. My husband and I stayed here with 3 other couples, a young kid, and 2 dogs during an annual beach vacation. So far, this has been the best place for our large group, with plenty of room so that we didn't feel like we were all on top of each other. There were 3 things that I really liked about this house: 1) Some of the bedrooms are on the main floor, which was really helpful for us since our senior dog does not do stairs well. (Our friends with a young child stayed in a bedroom in the lower level, which they liked because it was quieter.) 2) The space is great for groups. The kitchen is big, with a long table. It also has an island. The living room is also large, and you can see it from the kitchen. The bedrooms are on 2 levels. There are 2 bathrooms, plus an outdoor shower. There's also a deck. 3) The location is great. The house is on a quiet side street. We walked around quite a bit because we had our dog. It's quintessential Cape Cod in its natural beauty, away from the commercialization. There are a couple good beaches nearby...one is less than a mile away. This was our first time staying in Chatham, and I really liked it. There's a lot more to do than I expected, from shopping and restaurants, to different beaches and outdoor activities. Would definitely like to rent this house again.

On the Cape for a wedding. Perfect location to get to the resort and other wedding related activities over the extended weekend. More than enough room for my family of five. Very clean accommodations. Great views from the deck.

We recently rented Mis Behavin in Chatham for a long weekend to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday. As soon as we drove up and saw the lobster adirondack chair and then the golden retriever welcome we knew it would be the perfect house! We are former golden retriever owners and loved all the little touches throughout the house! The house was beautiful, well kept and perfectly decorated with the cape cod charm! Even the crabs and turtles on the bathroom floor - excellent! We had nice weather 3 out of the 5 days we were there but even the cloudy rainy days didn't put us off from a stroll on the beach ( we are Brits after all 🇬🇧). Thank you for a wonderful weekend we hope to be back soon!

I wished we could of stayed for 2 weeks. Great location. It's quiet and private, yet within minutes you can pick up anything you may need. My husband and I are active people, we found some great back roads to cycle on and I found the neighborhood pleasant to run in. As far as the lake, it is really clean. I enjoyed my daily swims (so did my dogs) and really enjoyed taking the kayaks and canoe out. One of the things I truly loved was having the house high up so you could see and hear all the birds in the tree tops. It was like being in a treehouse with the lake below.

July 30, 2016 Our week vacation in Harwichport was a memorable one, as we travelled with 2 new babies (10 mo & 8 mo) and 1 big brother/cousin, Timmy. The kids had the BEST time walking to the beach, restaurants and shops. This house made both our families feel “right at home” with its beautiful furnishings and the quaint patio. July 2, 2016 This was our first trip to Harwichport and staying in this home made it a wonderful experience. We have stayed in many VRBO properties in the past, this was by far the BEST! Wow! Amazing clean, functional property that gave everyone in our group their own space! We were a business group having a board meeting/retreat and the space worked great. Bedrooms on Each floor, two kitchens, the downstairs rec-area! Amazing. Just steps to the ocean as well as a short walk to the town of Chatham. One morning got up and watched the sunrise at the lighthouse just a short walk away. We were able to use the large dinning table for our meeting space, as well as meals together. Hurry, book this place, as it books fast!

We were looking for a pet friendly place to get away for a long overdue vacation and the Salty Dog fit the bill quite nicely. The pictures cannot capture the beauty of the property or of the house which felt like we were staying at a 5 star hotel. Upon arrival we felt completely at home and were amazed at how quiet and peaceful it was. The house is absolutely beautiful and felt at once both very cozy and quite spacious as we had plenty of room for everyone. The hot tub was a plus and we enjoyed playing pool in the lower level with our friends who came to visit while we were there. We took advantage of the kayaks and paddled around the cove and the outside patio was perfect for Happy Hours and late night fires allowing us to unwind while enjoying the scenery. We were a short drive from downtown Chatham which made this an ideal location and it was very easy to get to wherever we were going with time to spare. This is now at the top of our list of our very favorite places to stay and we look forward to returning during the summer to relive the experience! We highly recommend the Salty Dog to all who are looking for that elusive slice of heaven!

For Stay August 2016 I have enjoyed the Oyster Bed in both Summer and Autumn. The location offers the best of both worlds. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful yet close to everything. Just down the street is the Chatham Market, Oyster Pond Beach and all that downtown has to offer. The back deck is an amazing space with a cape breeze most of the day. It offers a great space for morning coffee, evening cocktails, and wonderful meals. This home also offers room to spread out with a spacious yard and lower level. Off street parking for four to five cars is also a great feature. I will be back this summer....

September 2nd 2016 I stayed at 107 Heritage for a girl’s weekend at the end of the summer. It was perfect for us: enough room for everyone to park their cars; plenty of room for hanging out; and enough beds for everyone to sleep comfortably. The back deck was a great spot for coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. It was awesome to have two bathrooms plus the outdoor shower so everyone could get ready to go downtown after a day at the beach. It was an easy walk to the market, CVS, and bakery café, and a short drive to the downtown shops and restaurants. We never had a problem finding parking downtown. You have to drive to the beach, but there is a shuttle service downtown that makes parking easier and they drop you right at the beach. I would definitely stay at this house again.

June 25 2016 We have rented houses on Cape Cod for several years, and this home combines the best of all things. Perfect for families. Plenty of space, impeccably clean, with a great back yard for the kids to play. Walking distance to downtown and the Chatham A’s field (which also has a playground). Nice quiet neighborhood that’s a short trip to the beach. I would recommend this rental to anyone planning a vacation to the Cape.

My family has rented The Bluff House for the past ten years and we can’t imagine summer anywhere else! The rooms are airy and light, with amazing views across Oyster Pond River to Nantucket Sound. The house has all the elements of a real family home, with photographs, books and furnishings reflecting the history of successive generations. We love that there’s no air-conditioning, which allows us to leave the doors and windows open all day for the sea breezes with the screens preventing the bugs coming in! The private beach is sandy and perfect for children, with a never-ending variety of sea and sand-life for inquisitive minds young and old, and the bird life is amazing: for the past couple of years we have had a pair of Ospreys nesting nearby and in the reed marsh opposite the house is a plethora of sea- and land birds including heron, sandpipers and oyster-catchers, best viewed by kayak – not to mention the hummingbirds that hover round the Trumpet Vine by the sitting room window. The house is less than a five minute drive from the center of Chatham but you might as well be 100 miles away as the only sign of the summer crowds are the number of boats that pass by during the day. To us - and the friends we have visiting every year - it’s the perfect holiday spot! Oh, and the icing on the cake are the breathtaking variations of sky and sea at sunset, best viewed with an ice-cold beverage - just magic!

Our visit was wonderful. The house was better than expected, very comfortable, roomy and clean. Great fishing in the pond kept our kids busy for hours. Overall a great time and look forward to returning in the future.

My husband and I were looking for a new retreat and after looking at what felt like hundreds of properties, we settled on 21 Beechwood rd. My thoughts were, if the place is half as nice as the pictures looked, I'd be happy.
Well, the place is twice as nice as.the pictures .
We've already booked it for next year. If you enjoy the water, beauty, comfort and privacy, this place has it all.

We loved the house. Beautiful yard. nice comfortable bedrooms and quiet neighborhood. We will be back , this house was perfect for us. Only wish for the homeowners is to add a full length mirror somewhere (bedroom door perhaps) hard to get dressed and not see how you look, Otherwise, house was terrific!

Our first impression was just WoW! This house is breathtaking, the style and decor just sum up New England with its coastal inspired colours and nautical influences. We stayed as a family group of 4 couples, 4 children & 1 young adult. There's plenty of space for all and a quiet space can always been found. We enjoyed the outside as much as the inside, the garden has plenty of shaded areas and a pool which was the focal point. The outdoor grill was perfect for our group too. Each room has its own (at least one) tv which suits a large party with varying viewing tastes & each bedrooms it's own bathroom. The kitchen has everything you could want or need & previous guests have left the larders well stocked with store cupboard essentials. The short stroll to the lighthouse & stunning beach is a bonus as well as the convenience to the town. All in all a faultless house in a fabulous location to be enjoyed by all ages; small children to grandparents! I hope everyone who is lucky enough to visit has as wonderful a time as we did!!!

This is the second year my family have stayed here. It was a great time again. The boys loved catching crabs on the waterway behind the house and the beach, of course. The house has everything we need and is absolutely lovely.
