Our family has been renting homes on the Cape for summer vacations for 30 years, but this house by far was the nicest (albeit, the most expensive). While the photos are a good representation of the house and property, it exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful home with lots of different spaces and great outdoor seating areas. Our family loved sitting around the fire pit in the evenings. The kitchen is very well equipped. We have stayed in homes that had foil, plastic wrap, oil, herbs, etc. This one did not so be prepared to buy these small items if you cook a lot. We also used the linen service and were very happy with them. We would highly recommend the Heron's Nest and look forward to staying there in the future. We had a wonderful trip. The location of this property is phenomenal. We were able to walk to the beach and into town. The house was clean and accommodating. We were able to bring our dogs who had a great time!! We will be back. :)

A very lovely place to relax and enjoy family close to the beach. Wish the gas grill came with gas so we could grill at night. Two tanks zero gas! We are adamant recyclers. This property does not pay the extra to recycle!

We had a fantastic time! The house was immaculate and in a perfect location. It was great for our baby and dog as well. i would stay there any time and day!

Our second visit to this lovely home. Perfect location. We kayaked and SUP everyday to the beach and Bumps and Herring River. Beautiful open plan conducive to a wonderful family vacation. For 2022 we needed to choose a different house for two reasons, 1)our favorite house that we’ve stayed in for the last four years became unavailable and 2) we had a larger group of people coming on vacation. We love Harwich and didn’t want another town. I’ve had my eye on this house for the last few years and this year was the perfect opportunity to try something new. The house presented as beautiful as it was pictured online, all the kids stayed down on the lower level and they made good use of the family room , enjoying the surroundsound and large TV , the upstairs floor literally rumbled at times, they were having such a good time watching movies , and the foosball table was great fun! The kids pretty much had their own space to themselves. 2 downsides to the lower level —a half bathroom would’ve been ideal and the bar sink wasn’t working. The upstairs was well appointed, great space to gather w comfortable furniture /beds, bathrooms were beautiful and there were many nights spent on the back deck. The property was quiet and private as well and only 5-10” ride to Bank str beach and Harwich port shops. The homeowner is generous with providing extra blankets and pillows , there were fans if needed , but the air conditioning worked fine , extra beach chairs/ kayaks -all of that was available for use. The outdoor shower was a big hit w the kids too, adding a 3rd shower in the morning or when coming back from the beach. We choose to cook most of our meals in the homes that we rent and the kitchen worked well for multiple cooks and there was plenty of storage in plenty of places around the table and the appliances were great! Even the dog had a great time out on the back deck with us and had extra fun with all the glass at the front door watching squirrels and people go by. Being that this is a dog friendly home one suggestion would be to have gates at the top of the stairs at each end of the deck we brought baby gates but hard to secure. I don’t know that we’ll need the three bedrooms and the larger home next year but if we do we definitely put this house at the top of our list!! This was our 3rd year staying at Sandpiper. Best location in Chatham. Only 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 minute walk to downtown Chatham. House is loaded with beach towels, chairs, full kitchen and fun basement for rainy days. We've been renting in Chatham for 20 years. We have found our favorite house! Location great - only drawback was the “party” house next door- fortunately they left on Sunday.

I lived summers in the 1960’s at the Priscilla House when it was a rooming house for college girls working in Chatham…. It was fabulous then, and even more fabulous now!!! This was to be a walk down memory lane. But Covid prevented our intended family stay. Fortunately, a few were able to use the time, and we will try again in 2023!!!!

Easy renting experience

We loved our stay at the Loveland House. It is in an excellent location and we enjoyed walking EVERYWHERE! We were thankful for the central AC, since it was extremely hot and humid during our week. After 13 years of rentals in the Cape, 2 Captain Row is our favorite. Our family consists of my husband and I, our daughter, her family which consists of her husband , her 17 years old daughter and her 14 years old son; our son, his significant others and his seven years old daughter. Everyone loves this house. It’s location , spaciousness, cleanliness, modern decoration, modern kitchen, utensils, wonderful spacious living rooms, dining room, wonderful spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, basement, another play area, outside patios to say the least. I love the third floor bedroom and a separate living room space. It’s outstanding! Thank We love that this house has a shared swimming pool and tennis courts. Most of us utilize them and looking forward to spend time every year here if we could. When I walked in this year I was very impressed with the cleanliness smell of the house. The house is very well kept, spacious, quiet and spacious close to Ridge dale’s beach which my grandson, Alex, love dearly. He looks forward to go there to look for crabs, etc. He prefer this beach more than other beaches Chatham has to offer. Thank you very much for creating a house s we could cherish with you. We recently returned from our first visit to Cape Cod. The property was fantastic for our group of 8. The home has a really nice deck and private back yard with a fire pit. We had some minor issues with the A/C, but nothing that wasn't addressed quickly by the property management. We highly recommend this home for families and groups of friends vacationing the Cape Cod.

A lovely home in the perfect neighborhood for families. Love the quick walk to Long Pond and quiet roads for walking. Plus, just a quick drive to the beach and downtown. The home was lovely and BIG! Furniture well kept and modern. The ground floor is set up awesome to hang out in but I found it could use a deep clean so we stuck mostly to upstairs. A few annoying rental things like a leaky tub and as a first time parent traveling with an infant, a few not infant friendly things (no plug in bathtub to run a bath), scary steps and access to cleaning items under sink, but those are small details and specific to my family. All in all a truly wonderful rental and we plan to come back next year! I'd highly recommend.

Third time at this home. Remains a solid reliable vacation home. Clean Spacious enough. Located near restaurants and near enough to the beach to walk without beach stuff or have quick drop off. Walks through the Harwich Nature conservancy-inland marshes. Easy bike ride to the rail trail. Quiet upgrades since last year- new outdoor patio-furnished with fire pit-sadly it was too hot and humid to use during the day, could use an umbrella or overhead sail/covering. New grill set up-safer no more solid footing. Kayaks-three in the basement. Kitchen seems better equipped and organized. Garage has been renovated. Lovely condo, and the location is perfect - steps to the beach and a quick walk to restaurants/shops. Spent a lot of time on the balcony - working, reading, eating meals and relaxing. We loved our stay at the 30 Cockle Cove home! The size was perfect for our family and was clean and well kept. We loved the enclosed porch. The location was terrific, with the beach at the end of the street. We also loved the easy access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. We used it every day to hike, walk and run. The location was also great to get to other areas on the Cape (Brewster, Harwichport, and Dennis). And it was only a short drive to the town of Chatham. I would rent this place again. This was our third time renting the same B201 unit at 405 Old Wharf Road, Dennis Port. Our choice to return was driven by the location, the ambiance and care of upkeep shown by the owner and the amenities (large and small) that help to make the unit our "summer home away from home". My wife and I think the NEVR rental process and communications have been and are always excellent. I especially appreciate the follow-up by Laurie and all the staff that go to make such a great service team! We always find the unit to be in good order but that brings me to a question that I would like answered when time permits. Is it expected or appropriate to leave a "tip" for the person or persons who clean the unit prior to our arrival? My wife and I normally leave a tip for those who make up our rooms during hotel stays but have not left a tip following any of our visit to unit B201 at 405 Old Wharf Road. We always recommend NEVR and the particular unit that we rent to our Friends and Family. During our visit from August 5th to the 12th, we thoroughly enjoyed the Sea breezes that brought cool fresh air to us and got us through the worst of the 6-day 90plus-degree hot spell that we would have had to face back in the metro-Boston area. Our favorite restaurants for this visit were Clancy's in Dennis Port, Ocean House in Dennis Port and Villa Roma in West Harwich. All three deserve high marks for excellent cuisine and service. Finally, we do want to return to the same location again in 2023 for our June 2023 visit (hope to get the week of June 9th-16th). We probably will not be looking to rent the unit for the August week since our 50th wedding anniversary occurs on the 11th of August 2023. We may be interested in a larger, multi-family capable rental house with pool and grounds in the August timeframe but will discuss with NEVR after the close of the 2022 season. In closing, know that our two stays this year at B201, 405 Old Wharf Road, Dennis Port were fantastic and, with short day visits by other family members, many great memories were recorded. Our family, 2 adults and 2 children, had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean and well appointed. We cooked most of our dinners at the house and there were plenty of pots/pans, etc. House set up with one bedroom/bath upstairs and one downstairs worked great. Outside shower was excellent and very clean. Central air was especially appreciated during the first few very hot/humid days. Beach is steps away! Highly recommend.

The Way Home’ was our home away from home for the week! This property is immaculate and inviting. The home was bright with an open floor plan, perfect for our family gathering while the spacious bedrooms gave us room to spread out. The owner’s attention to detail includes: state of the art appliances, smart TVs in the living room and bedroom, a well-equipped kitchen, new Weber grill, an office space to work if necessary, and a full-sized washer and dryer to use after our return from the beach. The screened in porch and deck were perfect for our morning coffee and evening cocktails. In addition to the great home, its location is very desirable, close to Chatham’s beaches and Chatham’s fine dining and shopping! We can’t wait to come back! We loved staying at this house. Clean, bright and had all we needed as a family of 5. Also in a lovely neighborhood. It is located close to Red River beach, Bank St beach (our favorite), downtown Harwich and a few really nice restaurants. Harwich is great. Also close to downtown Chatham, which is amazing. Overall had a great week and would love to rent this house again in the future.

This property was great! The house had more then enough space for our big family, the game room kept the little ones busy when we weren't on the beach. The upstairs was beautiful and provided a quite space for our little one. The area was quite and the beaches were within short driving distance which was very important to us. We would highly recommend this home for your vaca!
