We loved our stay at this Chatham home. Neat, clean airy home with fenced in yard which was great for our dog. The neighborhood was extremely quiet, yet very close to local restaurants and shops. We will definitely be returning! Our favorite rental to date!

Meant to Beach Our best times on the Cape have been spent at Meant to Beach. The home is beautifully appointed with everything you need for the perfect beach vacation. Meant to Beach is the perfect place to unwind from the stresses of life. The location is perfect – right on the beach and close to several nice shops and restaurants. The accommodations are very comfortable and the view is spectacular. Each day I walked the beautiful, serene beach looking for treasures and soaking up the sun and salt air; each night I sat on the deck admiring the amazing sunsets while listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean waves. This was a great stay! 63 Salt Marsh Road “Meant to beach” has stunning views of the beach you go down from the deck and you’re on the beach, plenty of natural light inside makes you feel like you’re outside. Everything was immaculately clean and so thoughtfully furnished and decorated, different and comfortable sleeping arrangements for kids and adults. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything you need to have nice meals, but there was a great variety of restaurants around to dine out. You couldn’t ask for better hosts they thought of every single detail to make this little piece of heaven feel like a paradise. I highly recommend it. This absolutely adorable home is amazing. The house has everything you need as your “home away from home”. The kitchen was fully equipped. And I loved the decor...so warm and inviting. The host even gives you a jar of her homemade jam made from local beach plums! It was fabulous. She is so professional and made our stay perfect in every way. Situated right on the beach, the views are simply breathtaking. My husband and I went for a walk along the shore every morning. The sunrises are outstanding and not to be outdone by the beautiful sunsets. The beach is private with very few people (if any at all). We spent the evenings on the deck overlooking the water and watching the sky turn a variety of brilliant colors as the sun went down over the horizon. Throughout the day and night, we heard the ocean waves gently lapping the sandy shore. Such a relaxing, fun experience. 6 out of 5 stars! Oh my goodness it was beautiful. They house the beach everything. We were there when it was chilly but we sat on the deck with blankets. We went for a funeral but will be back with happier times. It is definitely worth it. Plenty of room. The beach was beautiful to walk. The kids loved it. We've rented this cottage the past three summers. It is located on the "Chatham Loop" - you can walk to downtown, the lighthouse, and Stage Harbor. The cottage itself is on a private gravel drive surrounded by woods - very peaceful and quiet. We have three young boys, and there is plenty of room to keep their bikes and toys in the basement. And the three bedrooms upstairs give everyone plenty of space. Great vacation property that we always recommend to our friends when they are in town. The condo was so new and clean, location was perfect. We had a great vacation.

The property was amazing, great space for the family to play board games/work on puzzles. The outdoor space was HUGE and our dog has plenty of room to run around. The property has ample instructions on how to do everything and makes staying there very easy. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and the short walk to the diner down the street for breakfast/lunch. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family of five really enjoyed our stay at Mermaids Rest. The house is very clean and well maintained with plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The rooms are sunny and tastefully decorated in a bright modern style. We cooked most of our meals at the house using the well stocked kitchen. It is equipped with every appliance and kitchen gadget needed for those who like to entertain or barbecue. The multi-level patios provide ample space to enjoy the outdoors with separate areas for dining, relaxing or taking a soak in the hot tub. It was nice to sit out in the mornings with a cup of coffee on the patio to bird watch. We were there in July and were lucky to see many Baltimore Orioles feeding on the trumpet vines. The neighborhood is very quiet and feels secluded even though it it just a few minutes drive to restaurants, grocery stores and attractions. There is a lot to do at the lake and we often enjoyed the use of the kayaks to explore. Plus, there were many beaches within a 15 minute drive to choose from when we wanted to go to the ocean. Provincetown, the Cape Cod National Seashore and Martha's Vinyard are all doable day trips for those wanting to venture out of the Barnstable area. Mermaids Rest provides the best of both worlds of the Cape. It's quiet and serene but also has access to everything the Cape has to offer. I would highly recommend it! Four of us Stayed in this beautiful home for three nights. Our friends stayed in the king room and we took the queen, both on the second floor. The beds were comfortable and clean. The house is close to the beach though we were there when it was too cold to enjoy it:) The house was quiet and comfortable with the exception of one night when the cape was having a wind storm and it was blowing the outdoor furniture around on the upper deck. We just brought the chairs inside for the night The house is tastefully decorated with a quiet nautical theme of starfish. It had everything we needed including a toaster oven and Keurig coffee pot complete with pods and water. The downstairs shower even has a towel warmer! We would definitely stay here again and have also recommended it or other friends and family.

My son, his young family, and I have loved staying at Mermaid's Rest. We spend the mornings visiting a different beach every day with the pass included with the rental. Around 1:00 we go back to the house so the kids can nap, then spend the afternoon, lakeside. My grandson loves playing pirate, so we canoe around the lakeshore pretending to look for treasure. He plays captain and we call out "Yes sir Captain!". His favorite part of the vacation. Sometimes we head over to the lake's public beach (5 min ride) which does not have waves so it's safer for the little ones. It has a sandy beach so they can play until dinner time. The town has both a Trader Joe's and Whole Foods which is where we shop for groceries. We light a fire in the outdoor fire pit and sit under the stars until bedtime. It is a wonderful house and I love ending the day in the outdoor hot tub. It's perfect for our family with an upper deck for morning meals, and the lower deck for evening meals. This place was great! Our family enjoyed swimming in the lake, the floating raft, lunches on the patio, and the hot tub. Everything we needed was there. The kitchen was well equipped. Three of us (College friends for 30+ years) stayed at this property for a long weekend and it was, in a word, perfect. It's beautifully kept and spotless, with a fabulous kitchen. The accommodations are very comfortable, the upstairs rooms are spacious and the basement is a wonderful casual area with a lovely bedroom. The property is a very short walk to the beach (Town Hill) and the neighborhood is lovely for walking. The house within short driving distance of everything you need-market, restaurant, coffee shop, etc, We stayed in March so did not use the outdoor features, the porch and backyard would be lovely in summer. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.

What a wonderful trip we had to this excellent cape house! The location in Sandwich is walking distance to the beach, being close to nature and enjoying the ocean breeze on the second floor deck is a treat. The house itself is well decorated with maritime decor and incredibly comfortable beds that are a delight to sleep on after a day of activities and adventures. The location is also easy to access several great places to eat from cozy cafes to the Daniel Webster Inn, as well as attractions like the Sandwich glass museum, and local shopping. We had such a fun and relaxing week! The house was even more than what I had imagined! Great location and plenty of room to branch out when needed. Very roomy and clean!!! We had an amazing stay at Longs Lane. Very short walk to beautiful Pleasant and Forest beaches and short drive to the cute town of Chatham. We enjoyed a few delicious restaurants, cooked in and played some golf. We found the house to be perfect for our group with plenty of room to spread out, fully equipped, cozy decor, comfortable beds and great outdoor space. My husband grew up in the quaint beach neighborhood of Gray Gables in Bourne, where many of his family members still live. This is what drew us to the fabulous rental home located at 121 Presidents Road. The property exceeded our expectations! The home is a beautifully well-maintained three bedroom, two bath Cape, which is walking distance to three beaches, our favorite of which is the family-friendly Gray Gables Beach. As soon as we arrived it was evident the house was spotless and very well equipped for our family of four. From the beach chairs and cart in the garage, to the well-organized kitchen, in-house laundry, to the adorable back deck with its umbrella table and chairs, grill, and proximity to the outdoor shower, it was clear we had everything we needed to start our vacation! All we had to do was stock the fridge with our own food and beverages and get settled. Our “tween” aged kids appreciated having their own neat rooms. Our younger girl stayed on the first floor near us, while our boy took over the bonus room upstairs. There was also another huge bedroom on the second floor, but he preferred the room with the TV. Speaking of TVs, the house has two large Smart TVs, and it did rain a few days, so we appreciated them, as well as the comfy new living room furniture. The living area is a great spot to curl up with a book or play a game with the family. On the days it cleared up, we packed up the cooler and beach gear, and headed down to the Gray Gables Beach. It’s the perfect place to sun and swim during the day, and the sunsets there are spectacular! I enjoyed a relaxing walk through the neighborhood each morning and felt at home in the summery family atmosphere. Being so close to the Lobster Trap for seafood/cocktails and Trading Post Lounge for pizza was definitely a bonus! We also ventured to the Chart Room for a nice lunch, the Courtyard for a kid-friendly dinner, and Lazy Sundaes for mini-golf and ice cream. If you’re looking for a good, old-fashioned Cape Cod vacation, this place truly has it all! I highly recommend Megan and Dave as gracious, efficient, and responsive hosts, who take excellent care of their home and its guests. We will definitely be back! Thank you for everything! We loved this special spot in Bourne - the charming house is spotless, comfy and spacious; the kitchen very well-appointed and the beds super comfortable! All of this is secondary to the amazing location and view of Cape Cod Bay, which is stunning. We had great weather and got a lot of beach time in - a short walk down the neighborhood path to Sagamore Beach - and also did some sightseeing around other parts of Bourne (over bridge) and South Plymouth. Shout-out to Serious Cycles, in Plymouth, for quickly turning around 3 bicycle tune-ups in a busy season. Our family of three thoroughly enjoyed our visit and we'd all love to go back next Summer! My family of 7 loved our time at the beach. The house ‘s spectacular location on the hill or cliff over ocean with most rooms with direct ocean bay views. Although a steep walk to beach, when you get there it’s a perfect and uncrowded place for young children to play in sand and water. And there are poles to leave beach gear So you don’t have to bring them up daily.
