Our family of 6+ had an incredible week at Happy Hour, and fine home managed by Sea Star. We paid a normal rate for a normal home, and we were completely happy with what we received for the price. As an owner of a moderately priced vacation villa in Costa Rica, I am frequently surprised at what guests expect for the money they pay. Flawless home are available . . .but don't expect them for a bargain price.
If a guest does his research: call SeaStar and ask appropriate questions; do comparative shopping with other homes and agencies; document all SeaStars promises in writing BEFORE arrival . . . .he will not be surprised. I found SeaStar to be responsive, honest and efficient. For example, our internet went out one morning. They had their tech agent in the home within an hour. When he could not remedy the issue, they had the provider out that afternoon, and our internet was back. They were very efficient.
In this age of "immediacy", folks want to reserve their homes quickly, and then they still have unreasonable expectations. Connect with SeaStar, ask the right questions, create a friendly relationship with ONE of their agents (Liz was sensational for us) prior to your arrival. When you are spending thousands of dollars for your vacation, it's worth the extra effort on your part. Renting a holiday home is a bilateral relationship. When a guest does his part, he is far more likely to have a great vacation.
SeaStar is friendly, patient and efficient. When you do your part, I am confident you will reach the same conclusion. We had a great week!
