We've been visiting Palm Springs for 12 years, and we have stayed in some beautiful properties. The Butterfly Alexander was not one of them. As many people do, we reviewed the list and booked based on the appearance of the photos. What we got was a huge disappointment - the property is not in the nicest of neigborhood section, the property is generally run down from the outside maintenance to the inside appearance. It's basic; furnishings are more of an afterthought; pool towels were old and dirty; the primary suite mattress was absolutely terrible (our friends who we gave the primary suite said they woke up folded up like a sandwich and was terribly uncomfortable.) They ended up in the extra guest room. The pool heating we paid for wasn't turned on until the day after arrival when we called management. I would absolutely not stay here again, and if you're looking for your first house rental experience, I would encourage you to not book this property either. Total ripoff.
