What a beautiful home the Desert Orchid Retreat is! We shared this house to celebrate my mom’s birthday and it was the perfect spot! Not only was the home a beautiful oasis with a modern, colorful Palm Springs flare, it was also incredibly clean and very well stocked. The home sleeps 6+ very comfortably! There was nothing this mid-century beauty didn’t have! They even had a few pool toys located behind the home, a bonus to ensure your sun bathing is a good time! The location of the home is very convenient, about 6-9 minutes away from all the things we enjoy in Palm Springs: the design district with Trina Turk and SHAG, great restaurants like 849 and Sherman’s Deli! We drove a little further out to eat at the stylish Pink Cabana (highly recommend) and the drive was not bad at all, about 30 minutes, but who notices with that “Summer Wind” blowing. Though the house was beautiful, and we truly enjoyed every minute we spent in the resort-like home, there are a few points I just want to include to give the opportunity for small improvements. While the QR code was helpful with house information, the photos and instructions need to be updated for this specific home. We did have some trouble with a few key amenities, like the fireplace and spa functions. Neither would turn on, even after reaching out to ACME, who tried to assist us but to no avail, a disappointment considering the fireplace area was absolutely stunning! Hopefully this can be remedied before our next visit! ACME did a great job labeling all of the switches since the house is large and has several controls for all of the window shades and lighting , but some did not match what they said and maybe could be updated to lessen confusion. One thing to be aware of, there is not a thermostat in the main home to control the air conditioner, ACME controls that. There is however, one in each room of the pool house. I had to call a few times since it got pretty warm inside, but maybe we were just flush with aperol spritzes… Overall, the Desert Orchid Retreat is fabulous for celebrations and family gatherings. My family and I can’t wait to swing open those sky blue doors and make more memories. ACME, thank you for everything you created to make our stay wonderful! We didn’t want to leave. But, hey…”That’s Life!” We just need to hire a cabana boy!

I’ve been to Palm Springs many times and The House of Stardust was overwhelmingly beautiful! Such an amazing experience. Can’t wait to come back!

We had stayed at the Desert Eden location. Everything was perfect. There was a little incident with the AC not working and they literally had someone over in minutes to fix it. I would highly recommend these guys.

Our second stay in Casa Azul - amazing and very private home. Really feels like vacation! Great thoughtful service from Acme staff. We will be back!
