We booked this property as an escape from LA fires. Initial appeal included pool, hot tub, and pet-friendly policy, but our experience was disappointing.
We were promised a concierge-led tour of the house, no one met us when we arrived. Upon entry, we discovered a doortag hanging inside the front door notifying of construction planned for the next day, with street closures and parking restrictions. ACME denied knowledge but that doesn’t explain why the doortag was inside the house. This tells us someone failed to do their job properly and important information was missed. They cited their no-refund disclaimer policy when we brought this up.
The house had maintenance issues: noisy fridge, insect problems, insulation hanging out of an AC vent, uncleaned areas, and unstable furniture. Some positives included a well-equipped kitchen, king beds, and functioning pool/hot tub. Living room furniture differed from listing photos.
We shortened our stay and filed a complaint with Airbnb.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the challenges you encountered during your stay, and we fully understand your disappointment. We always strive to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience, and it’s clear we fell short in several areas.
Regarding the construction notice, we truly were unaware of the roadblocks but agree that this communication lapse was unacceptable, and we will work to ensure that important details like these are shared with our team in the future to avoid similar issues.
We appreciate your positive feedback on the kitchen, beds, and pool/hot tub, and we’re sorry for any inconsistencies in the living room furniture.
Once again, we are sorry for the disruption to your stay, and we understand your decision to shorten your visit. We hope that you will consider giving us another chance to provide you with the kind of experience you expected. Thank you for your feedback, and we wish you the best in your future travels.
