This was our very first rental through VRBO and we are simply amazed. Our family had the most amazing time at the Blue Gumbo house. It is exactly as you see in the pictures. It is newly renovated. The proximity to the beach, a couple of restaurants being within the walking distance, covered garage, spacious backyard, and the location (quiet street) itself were among the best parts about this house. Anything you would need in a normal home was available in the house. Kitchen was well stocked with pretty much everything you would need. Overall, everyone in our family had a wonderful time! We HIGHLY recommend this house to anyone looking to rent a house, especially families with kids.

We spent the last week of December 2023 at Blue Gumbo: great location and super close to the beach, perfectly clean, plenty of space (we were four), comfortable beds, charming front porch and backyard, private garage, and a bocce ball court. We had a great and relaxing time !

Very beautiful house at the perfect location would recommend

The home is immaculate. Very clean, beautifully restored, charming, and complete with an outstanding outdoor patio, featuring a Bossche ball lot and a Big Green (Black) Egg!! The master bedroom is sprawling and has a big ol' soaker tub. The beds and bedding were comfy, too! The kitchen was designed for cooking and absolutely stunning. They had everything you'd need to make a big or small dinner -- you might want to bring some of your favorite spices, but they have the basics. Parking is great and safe. There is a garage that fits two cars and parking passes for the street if needed. It is close to everything and a short, two-block walk to the Seawall and beach. The owners were responsive and easy to communicate with. No complaints here!!

We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful home with everything you need, close walk to the beach. Even cuter than the pictures. We would definitely stay again when going to Galveston!
