This place is both close to the road and private. The enormous backyard (backing right up to the national forest) is the perfect place for kids to play or enjoy a cup of coffee. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need. Check in and check out was super easy.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It's spacious with an endless backyard. Backyard is fenced but it leads into the national forest and it's simply beautiful. It's close to some very cool trails, a deer farm where you can hand feed the deer. It's a perfect getaway. Because there was no internet, we were really able to enjoy some quality family time playing board games etc. away from devices. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to spend some time away from everything busy.

Great location in the beautiful forest, about an hour from the Grand Canyon South rim. If you have the time , we definitely recommend doing the keyhole sink trail walk. It's about a mile long and the trailhead is just a short drive down the road from the Ponderosa. Master bedroom has a king size bed. And the other two bedrooms each have two queen beds. The space was clean. Amenities included coffee pot, barbecue, and fire pit.

This cabin was great for a family vacation! We used the fire pit at night and cooked breakfast in the kitchen each morning of our stay. Hot showers and a place to hang the hammock was a nice bonus. Loved the nature feel outside and the cabin feel inside. The location is perfect for visiting all things 90 min north or south of Flagstaff. The Route 66 store 2 min walk from the cabin was a nice bonus! If you forgot something, you can probably get it there! Would definitely stay here again!

Parks, AZ is beautiful but covered in fresh snow, it’s absolutely magical. Our family visited The Ponderosa cabin in Feb after needing to reschedule our Dec booking due to COVID. Matthew provided excellent customer service to get us a new date. The cabin was very clean and provided a great base for exploring Parks. We really enjoyed the spacious back yard for snow play during the day and sitting on the deck for crystal clear stargazing at night.
