We spent Sunday (3/17) - Saturday (3/23) in this fabulous rental and would ABSOLUTELY book it again. The views from the patio and master bedroom can not be beat. Coffee shops, bars/restaurants and even Mission Bay are all within walking distance, it's wonderful. There are plenty of scooters and bikes for rent if you choose. You can watch surfers from the unit every day and we even saw seals and dolphins a couple times during our stay. We felt safe staying in this location, however - as mentioned in other reviews - parking is tight. Our full size rental car did fit in the space designated for the unit but anything larger would be too big in my opinion. We were lucky to not have neighboring cars parked on either side of us very often - especially since there were contractor vehicles often parked on Strand reducing the amount of room given to back out of the space. We didn't use the laundry facilities in the adjacent building so I can't comment on that. I would not hesitate to recommend booking here to my closest friends and family. We look forward to a return trip.
