A friend and I needed a short getaway, and this did the trick! The location was situated perfectly with a view of water, without the hectic Oceanside traffic. In easy walking distance to the ocean, breakfast and the like. Felt very safe in the area. We didn’t walk around at night because we go to bed early, but I think it would have been fine too. The free parking space was tight, as others mentioned, but it worked!! Slight musty smell when you first enter, and some of the furniture is showing it’s age, but it’s hard to get away from that at most ocean properties. The bed was quite comfortable and the bedding felt very clean and “new” - which to me is more important than the rest of the furniture. Overall, it’s exactly what we expected and needed it to be - very straightforward process, reasonably priced, included parking, walkable to ocean and food yet easily drivable to downtown, safe and overall quiet. I’d stay again if I was in San Diego.
