We loved our visit to Amelia island! This condo was a great place for our family of 6 and was spacious that we had room to spread out! Large bedrooms upstairs. Convenience of a large washer and dryer! Kitchen had everything we needed. Loved the plantation shades on the windows. Access to beach was so nice, so close! Loved the area, and being secluded in the greenery and lush vegetation. Spanish moss just dripping off the trees and branches intertwined and mixed to create a canopy of green. We preferred this beach area compared to the main beach. Easy to get downtown to eat at restaurants and explore. We didn't have great weather for the first part of our trip but we still managed to explore the island and enjoy family time. Fort clinch state park was a must! The fort was so cool to explore and searching for shark teeth at the nearby beach was fun. Took a fishing charter with Amelia Fishing adventures with captain Jeremiah out for my husband and 2 boys and they had a great time and caught lots of fish and 2 baby sharks.. Took a beautiful sunset cruise (Amelia River Cruises) and saw so many dolphins and some wild horses! Sampled the ice cream around downtown and got our fill of eating shrimp and mahi! When the sun did shine we had some great beach days with some pretty big surf thanks to the previous storms so my teens loved the boogie boarding! We can't wait to come back and stay again. Would defintely stay in this same place.
