We are a family of four siblings with our spouses and get together in a different location every 6 months, all with VRBO. It was the first time for any of us to spend time on Amelia Island. We range in age from 81 to 59 and have just a few physical limitations. We drive from Ohio, Va, NC and FL and this property was out of the snow belt for December. This property fit our needs to a T. With 8 adults, we need a bedroom, preferable king-sized beds, with a bath for each couple, (we have learned from experience, it makes a more pleasant time together). This home is well equipped with 5 bdrms, 4 1/2 baths. Three bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. The living quarters are on the 3rd floor and the elevator made it wonderful for getting all our foods and snacks to the upstairs without all the lugging that is normal with a 3 story house. The kitchen was equipped with all our needs including spices. We do have a couple of cooks in the family and they had all the pots and pans they could want. We found we spent most of our hours in the very large kitchen with adjacent family area. The table seated 8 adults for breakfast and lunch. The island in the kitchen was utilized for several hours each day. Wonderful conversation area. Beach is easy access for the beach walkers. Parking was easy, with few units having visitors so close to Christmas. Would recommend for any larger group, family or friends.
