Great house and location for our family of 6! Plenty of room and close walk to the beach. Felt safe. My only complaint was the lack of supplies. I had to pack or buy everything, salt/pepper, oil and even ice. Those simple added up on cost and very inconvenient. Other rental homes we’ve stayed in have left over household food, which is very nice.

Our stay was everything we hoped it would be! Our host was always available to answer any questions and the cottage was exactly as shown - no unexpected surprises!! The ability to walk to the beach was truly one of the best parts of our stay, along w the tranquility of the location. Can’t wait for the next trip!!

Room wasn’t ready by 4 toilet seat broken washer/dryer combo didn’t work nor the dishwasher or air vent on the stove and parking was atrocious. Couldn’t get 2 passes.

Great location! we loved our stay. Only thing I would recommend is to have curtains for the bedroom windows, even with the blinds closed the building lights really lit up the room at night. overall amazing condo and just a walk and a skip to the beach. we will be back again!

the only thing that could have made it better is Internet access was unreliable despite restarting router. gratefully we didn't need much because most days were busy on the beach but unable to stream movies etc. on rainy days. everything else was amazing. the location was perfect. beach was not crowded and the walk to the beach was so easy. great view from the living area and pool is easily accessible also. overall we had an amazing stay.

We had a wonderful stay! The unit was exceptionally clean, very quiet, and the view was absolutely unbeatable. It was the perfect place to unwind, and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the swimming pool after a day at the beach.
The only small negative was the limited supply of basic kitchen utensils, which made meal prep a bit tricky. Also, for stays longer than a few days, it would be helpful if a few extra trash bags were provided—something we’ve seen in other condos.

Unfortunately we were not impressed with this condo. The key pad/lock did not work properly. The company did try to fix it and it did finally work but it was very quirky and I never knew if the door would actually open.
I asked for sheets on the pull on sofa bed because all that was provided was a flat sheet. I never received the sheets. I also asked for more towels and never got a response or received more towels.
The mattress pad on the pull out couch was stained.
It is a great location, with easy access to the beach and seaside. But I would not stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The pond in the back was perfect for our son to fish. The location was peaceful and easy to get to the beach or Baytowne Wharf! We would stay here again.

The condo was nice and the view was great. However, upon arrival we checked the pullout couch considering we are family of 6 and would need it. It was broken and when we tried to pull it out it got stuck. We immediately reached out to benchmark and they assured us maintenance would come check it out. Five hours later they still hadn’t come so we called back and was told we would receive a message when the team was on the way. Next day I received a message asking if anyone came to fix it and I told them no and didn’t hear anything else. My husband and I were able to fix it after hours of messing with it only to find the mattress cover nasty so our kids couldn’t even sleep on it anyways. Benchmark was not helpful at all with this situation and I feel like they were very inconsiderate.

There are just not enough elevators to serve 30 floors of condos. We had the choice of waiting sometimes 30 minutes for an elevator to cram ourselves in with 20 other people, or take 13 flights of stairs. This seriously inhibited our ability to go anywhere. We spent better than 24 hours with no air conditioning. Our room was 80 degrees with all doors open. The room was well cared for, but the elevator and AC situations will keep us from coming back. Make sure you fill out all your online “paperwork” before you get there. The lady at the desk was very spicy about the fact that I had missed filling out something, Literally snatched my phone out of hand, and charged me a 50 late registration fee.

I highly recommend the location of this condo right on the beach! We were able to walk right out and enjoy the beach. I reserved and rented beach chairs and an umbrella for the week as these are not included with the condo. In my opinion, this condo needs some TLC and updating, such as the bathroom, sofa and rug in living room definitely need replaced. There are no privacy drapes or blinds in the living area windows and sliding door. We did not let this interfere with our stay but for the price, I will look for a more updated condo in this area in the future.

This was a beautifully decorated condo. It was roomy and perfect for our 25th anniversary celebration. The kitchen was well supplied with cookware and utensils. The gigantic coffee cups won my heart. We are coffee drinkers! We took our coffee out on the balcony every morning and watched the waves and listened to the ocean. It was a magnificent stay. The showers could use an update but they are perfectly functional. The bed was great and bedding was nice. My biggest complaint was the super early check out time of 10am. It seems like venues are forcing guests out earlier and earlier and it is so inconvenient. I really consider it quite rude and a poor customer service practice. We asked for a later checkout since our flight left at 4pm but we were denied. We sat in the heat waiting on our driver and monitored the condo. No one entered until after we left at noon. A late checkout could have been easily accommodated.

Loved our stay here, the location was perfect, such a quick walk to the beach and a convenient store for simple forgotten items. It was as described and would definitely stay here again.
Only downside was no washer or dryer in the unit but we knew that before booking.
Would definitely recommend!

Benchmark management called me an hour before check-in telling me there was mold in the unit and they could not accommodate us so that they would put us up somewhere else and then never returned my call never responded to messages left us stranded 13 hours away from home with nowhere to stay and then didn't care if my children and family had money to get a new place or not issued the refund when I said not to issue a refund cuz we have no money to replace a place to stay they issued it anyway and never responded to me again absolutely awful experience ruined my family's vacation Airbnb had to put us up 3 hours away in Alabama would never use Benchmark management ever again in my life

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Amazing stay on the beach w an ocean view and great atmosphere. The condo was outstanding and had everything we wanted for our stay. Was close to everything and the private beach was not crowded. The property management company was top notch. They we on top of every question we had. Only small issue. There was a beeping noise from the owners closest that was locked and the property manager tried to resolve it but did not have a key. We were able to shut the bathroom door and alleviate the sound.

Wonderful stay at a much loved condo unit. We stayed here when our kids were young and we always loved the family friendly atmosphere. Although the nearby traffic has increased greatly since that time, Emerald Hill has stayed just as lovely as it was before. Updated and well maintained; this unit is a treasure.

The elevator situation is absolutely horrendous. I mean horrendous. 20-40 minute wait times for an elevator is absurd for how much it cost to stay here. The place is nice but the elevators alone make me not want to return unfortunately.

This is a lovely hidden gem.We will definitely stay at this location again but would choose a diff unit due to only having 1 bathroom. Pros: Cute decorations, good WiFi, Private beach, beach service, Quiet, Location, Clean (for the most part), good mgmt communication. The condo was decorated very beachy. Well stocked. A/C worked well. Fridge worked well. The beach was lovely and not crowded. Cons: Older property that needs some updating, only 1 bathroom in unit* (yes we knew this going in), small pool. TVs were confusing. Having chair service was wonderful, but I still had to get up at 7am to go out and “save my seat”. *Although we knew about this unit only having one bathroom, I assumed there was a shared sink, but there was not so if you are traveling with more than two people having one bathroom is a huge inconvenience when you have to share a sink as well. We made it work and the next time we choose this property we will make sure to get a unit with two bathrooms. Other minor inconveniences include the coffee maker not being programmable; the dishwasher not working correctly which required me to turn on and off the circuit breaker to reset. Biggest complaint that needs addressing- the dryer ruined some of our shirts because the drum seal was worn & the clothing got stuck under the seal as the dryer rotated which left rust/burn streaks all over our clothes.

The house was exactly as pictured. It is in a quiet area and a short walk to the beach. The supermarket and pharmacy are also close by. I loved my stay and would definitely come back.
