Truckee Treasure is a beautiful, well-appointed rental in Gray's Crossing. This was our first time in Gray's Crossing but more about the neighborhood in a bit. We travelled with our daughter, son-in-law, 2 granddaughters, and our dog. The layout of the house is great the main living space is on the first level with easy access to the front door and garage and the second (upstairs) level has a loft, full bathroom, and two bedrooms. Everyone had plenty of space and while we did spread out occasionally, we spent most our time together in the spacious great room. One note, the second primary bedroom (king size bed) is on the main level and not upstairs. For parents who want to sleep on the same level as small children, there is a queen size bed in the upstairs bunk bed room. There are plenty of beds and enough bedrooms for two families. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of cookware, serving pieces, plates, glasses, and silverware. Families with small children note that all dish and drinkware is breakable. It is a large modern kitchen with additional seating around the island. And there is an entertaining space off the dining area with additional storage and drinkware. The driveway is flat so it is easy to pull in and the backyard is large and great for playing in the snow. You can tell that this house has been well cared for and is ready for family bonding time. There are several games, puzzles, and hang out areas. The neighborhood was a pleasure to walk and is mostly a closed loop. It took us about 40 minutes to walk the dog around the full loop. There is a paved, plowed trail at the beginning of Kelley Dr that takes you over the creek if you need a longer walk or run. This is definitely a house we will return to on our next stay in Truckee.
