This is a special house in a special location. Wonderful architecture and art, gorgeous views from the many windows, all equipped with screens to let in the fresh mountain air, a view of the Truckee river and from the living room, a small spring that ran down the hillside and under the house. River access was possible from the next house up the road, with Adirondack chairs that made for great reading spots. Only 10 minutes to grocery store, restaurants and lovely Truckee with its boutiques and cafes and terrific book store. Twenty five minutes to Lake Tahoe where we had wonderful paddle boarding. The fireplace was great for the cold nights and the heat of the day was manageable, even upstairs, thanks to the windows. The hosts were very responsive, quick to replace a defective kettle. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing place. Very unique and artistic. Amazing views feels like you are sleeping outdoors with the large windows. The stream in the backyard was peaceful. Clean jacuzzi. River cold plunge across the street in the mornings. This place has it all.

The original place we booked did not have gas for heat. They were very proactive in communicating and moving us to a new place. Great customer service.
