The Bear’s Lair provided the perfect getaway for us! It’s close enough to town for exploring, and Lake Tahoe, where we have family, was only about 25 minutes away for us. The house is on a large, quiet property and it’s set back well from the road so there is no road noise inside the house. The home was clean and well-stocked with everything we could need. The house is decorated in warm mountain tones with the right mix of wood and stone. It had lots of kitchen items, games, DVDs, and more! We got a kick out of the bear “photo wall” on the staircase! The primary bathroom has a large shower and jetted tub. The outdoor hot tub is under the trees and quite lovely. We would definitely visit again!

We had a fun time. It was very convenient for Palisades and eating in Truckee. We also cooked at the AirBnb using the well equipped kitchen.

Our stay was perfect. Beautiful house that was perfect for our trip. Hot tub was great to come back to after a day of skiing.
