Beautiful property. There were a few things we were disappointed with. First, there is no air conditioning. We spent a significant amount of money only to be semi-uncomfortable during a few hot days. Second, the resort nickels and dimes everything. We spent 5k to stay for the week and the pool area was 10 per day, per person. Everything near Tahoe is so expensive, at least the pool on the property we rented for the week should be free. Third, when we arrived we had instructions on how to retrieve the keys to enter. When we opened the lock box, there were no keys. We solved this issue after about 15 minutes by getting the garage door code, but after a long day of travel, w kids, it was a little disappointing. Fourth, the upstairs bathroom shower drain kept plugging up. I had to plunge it numerous times. All of these things are definitely first world problems and did not ruin our trip but the expectations are higher when top dollar is paid for a vacation rental. All in all, it was a good trip and the property was nice and well taken care of.

Loved our stay at this location! North Star Resort provided a great walkable environment in the resort, and the home was well-kept and enhanced our stay. I got a bit worried about the property's extensive list of rules, but did not find anything negative from our stay. very responsive hosts!
LOVED the kitchen!

Place was great and very comfortably fit us all for a large family vacation. Although surrounded by other houses, there was hardly anyone around and the location felt private and peaceful. Kitchen had everything we needed. Wish the beds in the guest rooms were larger, but otherwise no real complaints.

Well kept, cozy and unique lodging. Highly recommend that you stay here. About a 15 min drive to kings beach and a 25 min drive to incline village.

Note, the staff at the Northstar recreation center are rude and unwelcoming. Additionally, it’s a $10/person fee to use the amenities. Keep this in mind if planning to use those benefits.
