Beautiful, clean, well-furnished home. It's a lovely and warm place to return to after a day of skiing. Especially love the large windows and beautiful deck. Excellent location. Very close to Tahoe Donner, both downhill skiing and cross-country skiing. Also close to many restaurants in Truckee. Suzanne is a superb host -- so kind, responsive, and helpful. We felt very grateful to spend our ski breaks here each year. Thank you

Alder wood is our absolute favorite place to stay in the Truckee area. The house is comfortable and well appointed. The common space accommodates a family or group of friends well and the location cannot be beat. We’ve stayed here in the summer for hiking trips and in the winter for skiing and snow play. Our kids love staying in the winter because the back yard has a great slope for sledding and there’s ample space for snowball fights. We are already looking forward to our next trip.

We had such a lovely stay at your place! The beautiful trees, peaceful surroundings, and warm, cozy atmosphere made it feel like the perfect getaway for our family. The home was incredibly well equipped with everything we needed, and we especially appreciated all the thoughtful family-friendly touches for our little one—the baby gate, pack ’n play crib, high chair, toys, and games made traveling with a baby so much easier and more enjoyable. We loved the spacious kitchen, open floor plan, and many windows overlooking nature, which made the home feel bright, comfortable, and welcoming. The peaceful, quiet setting was wonderful, while still being conveniently close to town. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again!
