We found the cabin just as we had expected from the description, a cozy house in a nice location with plenty of room for us five people. The bedrooms and beds were comfortable, the second and third bathrooms were smallish but perfectly fine, all three were spotless, and the kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, flatware, and cookware, and the gas stove and dishwasher worked fine. Some of the pots and pans were a little on the old side with partially worn-off non-stick coating, but we didn't have a problem preparing meals. There was enough upholstered furniture to sit around the nice wood-burning fireplace or watch (cable) TV. The cabin also features wireless Internet access with sufficient bandwidth to watch medium-resolution streaming movies from Netflix or Amazon with only minor hiccups here and there, and the flat-panel 1080p TV has spare HDMI inputs (but bring your own HDMI cable). We would definitely recommend this property to friends or relatives.

We were so happy upon arrival that we found a perfect little cottage like cabin for our weekend stay. Rustic yet updated, true cabin in the woods. My girls (8yr) loved the little walk to the creek and spent so much time down there exploring.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ward Creek Retreat. The house had great amenities and lovely deck with huge backyard. The property is in a great location, close to Sunnyside Resort, Tahoe City and great beaches/water activities. We would definitely stay here again!!
