Good

Excellent service from this management company. Instructions were clear and accurate before our stay and they kept in touch with updates about bear sightings, house particulars and directions directly before our stay and during by text and email. It was great to have this information sent again because when you are traveling from a distance it's hard to keep all of your trip information (flights, Etc) on hand. The house was perfect! Clean and exactly as presented on-line. The area was perfect - halfway between the Lake (~15 min drive) and Truckee (~15 min drive) I highly recommend Northstar!

This was a great house for a family group of 8 to spread out. The 4 bunks were especially helpful, since all 3 kids could be in that room, while the adults spread out more. The bathrooms were good, the hot tub was nice and hot (and a shoveler had cleared a path to it through 10' of snow), the pool table/TV room was great, and the kitchen was well-equipped. We struggled getting the heat to do what we wanted--it would be too cold at times, and if we reset it, the temperature reverted to too cold when we were skiing. It would be too warm at night upstairs, but cold in the lowest bedroom. Ecobee seemed to have a mind of its own. There were stacks of wood for the fireplace and it worked well, but there wasn't any kindling. The amenities are good, although shuttles are late & often crowded during the holidays, and the pool had been drained so we couldn't use that. All in all, though, it was a very comfortable and well-located house for our group of 8.
