Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a special and perfectly snowy Christmas weekend for our family! Ward Creek cabin was everything we hoped for and more. Incredibly atmospheric, sturdy and well-built with special touches in evidence everywhere, including the most delightfully homey and well-stocked kitchen, which was perfect for baking and holiday dinner preparations. We loved everything from the comfy beds to the crackling fireplace, pretty views from every window and an enchanting winter wonderland awaiting us off the back deck. Icy, tumbling Ward Creek and the creekside trail made for some exhilarating walks admiring the National Forest cloaked in snow. Property management was excellent and the serene west shore location not far from Tahoe City was perfect for us. We'll always treasure our happy memories of our stay at Ward Creek and would love to return!

With all the Sugar Pine trees, creek and animal life, you never want to leave the large deck. Just sit and enjoy the nature around you. The cabin was darling and well equipped with everything you would need. You definitely feel at home. It's close to shopping and restaurants, plus local bike and walking paths. This area has always been our favorite and we would definitely come back to this charming cabin again. The only thing is the BBQ could stand a little work. We love to cook outdoors and had a hard time starting the BBQ. Had a lot of wonderful meals on the large and quite deck which we totally enjoyed. This charmer is a five star.
