The home was beautiful and comfortable for our 2 families. The view is spectacular! The kitchen was decently stocked, but you will definitely need to bring any food related items you need. There are no spices, etc. Easy to find and get to. Overall it was a great house for us!

Incredible place with amazing views and close proximity to Truckee and nearby ski mountains. Place was as advertised and very happy with our stay. Tahoe Getaways did a great job managing check in, very responsive. Overall great experience!

Great cabin with great views of the forest/lake. Really comfortable for our group of 8. 30 minutes from Squaw and Northstar and 10-12 minutes from Truckee.

Beautiful clean home with a gorgeous view of Donner Lake! Lots of rooms, large dining room table, convenient large kitchen with large stove, large common rooms (game room with poker table with kids toys, piano and not so comfy sofa bed, family room with plush leather couch and chairs, deck with comfy deck chairs. Appreciated the extra towels and sheets with the full size machines in the laundry room. Some sheets were damp in the laundry closet so I put them in the dryer. Rain shower heads in the bathrooms, very nice hot tub. They provided hand soap/body wash/shampoo/conditioner.
Kids enjoyed going kayaking on the lake. Parking is tight so suggest taking the shuttle from the high school or having someone dropping you off. Beach area is a bit small. Kayak rental is not a problem even in the afternoon.
Truckee Safeway is very close by to the home so very convenient. Large driveway that would easily fit 4 cars, garage can fit 2 cars. Front door area has a small mud room. Very quiet dark neighborhood at night but with house lights on, the house is very lit from the street which would make it much easier to find in the winter. The street the house it’s on a slight hill since you have a view of the lake but if you have a 4 x 4 in the winter for snow, it shouldn’t be too bad.
Back stairs lead to a wooded area that I saw people walking dogs in also. Neighbors were also walking dogs on/off leashes on the street. There are grassy/shrubs/rocky areas right near the driveway where your dog can relieve himself as needed. We brought our pup.
If staying for more than a weekend, I suggest buying more paper towels/dishwashing soap for the kitchen and bringing your own dishwashing sponges. They provide a very small one. If you don’t want do tons of dishes all of the time, a few paper plates/plastic forks
/cups occasionally may be a good idea. We were constantly doing dishes for our large family party…
No air conditioning. They have some ceiling fans (low speeds,) standing fans, some work well, and the windows open but there are large mosquitos. Bring a zapper. Remember your bug spray. If you tend to get very hot, bring some fans.
Overall, I would recommend this home wholeheartedly. We’ve stayed a lot of Tahoe Airbnbs. We chose this place because of the number of rooms, the view, and the amenities. Would definitely return again! We really enjoyed our stay! We hope you do too!
