I've stayed at this house twice - once in winter and once in summer - and I absolutely loved it both times. Truckee is a wonderful place to be year-round, and this house is just perfect for a group of friends or a family. It is in a beautiful neighborhood, surrounded by trees; you definitely feel like you are up in the mountains; and yet downtown Truckee is just a very short drive away. The house has all the amenities you could ever need including a deck to enjoy the summer sun (or winter snow!). Bedrooms and bathrooms are super clean and modern. The fireplace is easy to use and feels super cozy. I can't wait to stay here again!

This place has the best feel of any mountain home I have stayed in. It is warm, well-furnished, spacious, bathed in light, conveniently located, and just darn peaceful. Everything in the home is designed for comfort and convenience, so you don't have to worry about the basics when you are on holiday. We have stayed at this home on several occasions and never want to leave. It is close to skiing in the Winter and the clubhouses, pools, golf courses, and shopping in the Summer. Finally, the rent has always been reasonable. I recommend as one of the best values in the Tahoe area.

We loved our stay at this cozy and beautiful cabin. We easily ventured out to ski and enjoy a neighborhood walk in the snow, cooked big meals for our 6 guests in the beautiful kitchen, and enjoyed the large family room for some ping pong and a movie night. Will be back! Thank you!

House is perfect for groups or families. We stayed with our in-laws + kids. House has game room upstairs for romping little ones, plus, multiple separate spaces to relax, sit down, and catch up with those you love throughout the living / dining / flex room. The deck was enormous and was an added bonus for those summer time drinks, dinners, etc. House was recently updated, so quite comfortable for our stay. Highly recommend and will be back.

This was a spectacular house to spend a week long vacation. The common area is large and comfortable and a great space for family and friends to gather. The kitchen is big and has all the amenities you’ll need for cooking at home. The kitchen is connected to the common space that includes a dining area, which is equipped with a large dining table, a living room with a spacious L-shaped couch, and a TV area complete with another couch, a recliner, and a TV with Roku. There is a loft upstairs with a ping pong table and another TV. The house is stocked with board games for kids and adults. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable mattresses and bedding. All of the bathrooms look recently redone. The master bath even has a large sauna to relax in! Everything was sparkling clean and all the appliances are modern. The highlight of the house may be the enormous deck, which was a great spot to barbecue and enjoy a dinner outside. It looks out to the back yard, which is big enough to give you space from the neighbors, making it a a peaceful place to get away. There is a large driveway with enough space for at least 4 cars, and the garage can fit another two. The house is close to Donner Lake and downtown Truckee, so lots of fun stuff to do. I plan to return in the winter to make use of the houses’s proximity to Palisades. Overall, I couldn’t have been happier.

I've stayed here two times with family (once in the winter and once in the summer) and have enjoyed this house immensely both times! It's a beautiful place with high ceilings, woodsy furnishings, fantastic views, and all the comforts of home. You can tell that whoever owns it actually uses it and gave it some personal touches and upgrades that other rentals simply don't bother with. Wouldn't hesitate to go here on a group trip again! Here are some highlights:Cleanliness: The house was pristine. The bathrooms and kitchen were spotless (and I'm pretty picky on this point), the linens were fresh, and all other eating/sitting/living areas were tidy and well-cared for.Kitchen: This kitchen is fantastic, I wish mine were this nice! It's got new and top of the line appliances and it is big enough for multiple people to be cooking/prepping meals. It was stocked with a ton of utensils, dishes, glassware, serving ware, etc. as well as some necessary dry goods like salt, pepper, and olive oil. You have every tool you need to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you want to. Also the big fridge was nice to have for the full week!Bathrooms: These bathrooms are recently updated and very spa-like which was wonderful after a hard day on the slopes. When we had shared one of the bathrooms with another couple, there were plenty of places to tuck your stuff out of the way when someone else was using it. Very handy! Also loved that they provide quality towels, solid TP(you know, not the singly ply crap), and small toiletries in case you forget your shampoo or soap.Hangout Space: The upstairs living area is perfect for a big group to hang out in. There's a big back porch with a table and seating outside for the summer BBQs. Inside, the kitchen, dining room, sitting area, and tv area are all connected so you can see what's going on when everyone's up there but everyone can have their own space (e.g. kids watching tv in the open air den, teenagers lounging on the couches in the living room, parents in the kitchen). There's also a cool rumpus room that's separate from this main area with a ping pong table and other games if you need a separate place for kids (or adults!) to play in, as well as a closet filled with board games. Privacy/Noise: On big group trips when everyone has different schedules or bedtimes, it's especially important that you don't feel like you're tiptoeing around each other, which is why it's quite nice that all the bedrooms are carpeted (and it's nice PLUSH carpet, not a landlord special), I think it really helps insulate noise and feels so nice in the winter! Views/Vibes: I had to work remotely a few days while up there in the winter and the views from the dining table made it way more enjoyable than working on vacation usually is. 10/10 cozy cabin vibes.Parking/Location: The driveway is big and I think you can fit at least 2-3 cars, probably 4. It's only 5-10 min from grocery stores, shops, and restaurants, which is super nice when you've traveled all day to get there or are exhausted after skiing all day.
