Absolutely loved our stay at Ellis Peak Retreat! The house was beautiful, spacious, and felt like the perfect Tahoe escape. The hot tub was perfection after long days at the lake—total relaxation under the pines. The neighborhood was peaceful and full of charm, and the location couldn’t be better.
We walked into Tahoe City daily—coffee runs, dinners, and lazy afternoons at Commons Beach were all an easy stroll away. One of our favorite days was renting bikes from Olympic Bike Shop and cruising the lakeside path to Sunnyside for brunch—no car needed the entire trip.
Highly recommend treating yourself to a facial at Cosmic Glow Tahoe (right above the Sierra Club)—Amber is absolutely amazing!

We loved the location and amenities -- walked to Tahoe House, hiked the trails behind the home, relaxed on the back patio and in the hot tub. The home was well equipped for our family of 6, including a private office area for WFH'ers.

The Ellis Retreat was clean, cozy, and a perfect location. It was walking distance to local coffee shops and markets, and very close to the little town and Commons Beach. It was well stocked with all necessities you need to have a comfortable stay! We would definitely come here again.

Conveniently located between Tahoe City (restaurants and grocery stores) and Squaw Valley (now called Palisades). Picturesque, quiet neighborhood. If you're lucky enough to be there when it snows, the windows are an absolute dream, as were the hot tub (nice and hot) and the wood-burning fireplace.
The beds, couch and loveseat could all use some serious upgrading, however. They're old and not very comfortable.

Fantastic stay in Tahoe City! The cabin was cozy and well-equipped, with a great fireplace that made for perfect après-ski evenings. The hot tub was a highlight—clean, spacious, and ideal for relaxing after a day on the slopes. The location was convenient, and the hosts were responsive and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!
