Overall, the home matched the photos and the general quality was good. The amenities we used worked as expected (we didn’t use the jacuzzi).
That said, communication after we arrived was the biggest issue. Before booking, responses were quick—though we were also asked to sign a separate agreement outside of Airbnb’s terms. Once we were on-site (a week before Christmas Day), response times slowed down dramatically.
For example, the day before checkout I asked for trash disposal instructions. The automated response directed me to the house guide, and the house guide then referenced a “quick reference guide,” but the information wasn’t actually accessible. I didn’t receive a reply for nearly 13 hours, and when it did come through, it still wasn’t very clear—photos or a more step-by-step explanation would have helped a lot.
