High Country Lodge was hands down one of the best vacation rentals our family of four has ever been to. The flow of the home is wonderful with the main living, kitchen and master bedroom on the top floor and the other two bedrooms and bonus room on the bottom floor. The house was plenty big and could easily accommodate more people. The kitchen was well stocked with every pot, pan and appliance one would expect from a well-loved home, and the basics like salt, pepper, oil and some spices are on hand. The beds were all very comfortable which is a big deal since I have back and hip issues. The master bed even had an adjustable base. The linens were high quality, comfortable and clean and the bathrooms had plenty of towels. The fireplace was so lovely to use on a cold day when a thunderstorm rolled in coupled with snow flurries, in June!! Also, the hot tub was a hit although it could have used a bit of cleaning before our stay. The backyard is so beautiful and a wonderful spot to drink some coffee or a nice glass of wine. We loved every bit of our stay at High Country Lodge and look forward to returning someday.

Truly an incredible cabin / mountain experience. We loved this home, especially the living room (that fire place 😍) and the kitchen. It was the heart of the home and our trip. Great location, fully stocked kitchen, and the hosts / property management group was extremely communicative. We would come back here again! 10/10. Thank you!!

We had a great getaway. Enough room and perfect layout for a two family trip. Clean space, quiet, room for outdoor play and stocked with necessities. Would recommend, it was a relaxing stay.

We had a wonderful time here. Beautiful home with great amenities for a large group. Close to downtown Truckee and the mountains as well. The host was very communicative and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Great stay

The house had everything we needed. Plenty of entertainment and space. It was quiet and peace. The rooms on the lower floor you could hear everything above you. It made it hard to sleep if anyone was moving above you.
