Beautiful home in a beautiful tucked away neighborhood, and definitely worth what we paid for. Very close drive to a lot of the North Lake Tahoe/ Donner Pass ski resorts and attractions, and the home itself was very cozy, very well furnished, and In a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. You're about a 20-minute walk to some gorgeous lake views, but this neighborhood is fairly tucked away so you will likely want a car to get around. Highly recommended overall
Just as a general heads up if you decide to book this property, and to no fault of the property owner, the driveway is pretty steep and iced over while we stayed there. Please use caution if arriving in the snow.

This cabin is awesome - very comfortable, cozy and has a classic snow cabin vibe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here as it was close to everything that we wanted to do and see. I liked the décor inside - You can tell that they have a long history here and love to ski. There was a lot of snow when we came, which was fun to play in around the property with lots of room outside. There is extra snow gear for borrowing, and board games to play, which is a nice touch. It's a two minute drive to Sunnyside and the lake in general for water play or a bike ride. Tahoe City is about 10 minutes and has everything that we needed and great restaurants. It is also down the street from the back side of Alpine Meadows and a short 15-20 minute distance to Palisades Tahoe. Lots of great hiking in the area during the summer time as well. We will come here again for sure!

Great location if you have an Alpine ski pass (just down the road from Sherwood Bowl) and for summer access to the Tahoe Rim Trail. Not well insulated on the interior so be prepared to hear everything upstairs if you are in the downstairs bedroom. We were a family so it didn't matter. Comfortable and with good kitchen appliances and pots and pans. No dishwasher, however. I would rent this home again.

Tahoe Getaways made for an excellent stay during a very trying snow storm that saw us needing to extend stays on both sides of the visit. The house was exactly what we thought it was and wanted, and was well supported for the snow storm with shovels and a driveway plow.
