Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a beautiful home that we rented directly from the owner in 2013. He is a stone mason and this house is absolutely gorgeous. In July, 2015, we rented from Tahoe Resort Properties. They were efficient, professional and consistent in service from initial contact through the end of our stay. We originally expected 9 and ended up with only 6 in our group to stay the nights. This property served our purposes well as there is ample public area. The balconies/decks are a definite plus as you can enjoy nature and see the lake in the distance. The neighborhood is quiet yet not too remote. The kitchen was fully equipped for 12 guests, just do remember to bring the spices that you enjoy. There is also a BBQ on the deck that we used. We were able to invite friends over to enjoy meals together as well as the property. A binder of "What to do in Tahoe" was very helpful. We also had a wonderful dining experience at Soule Domaine, 9983 Cove St, Kings Beach, CA 96143, Should we be in the area again, we would definitely consider renting this property.

Lookout Lodge was the perfect getaway home for our group! One of the best homes we've rented in the Tahoe area.

Pros:
- Clean! Clean! Clean! - The white linens you see are exactly what you get, clean and white.
- Plenty of amenities such as towels, toilet paper, soap.
- Plus- Keurig with an abundant variety of different coffee, hot chocolate and tea pods.
- Blender, toaster, oven, pots, pans, plates, cups and utensils
- High ceiling and spacious rooms
- Plenty of beds
- Hot tub with a towel rack!
- Master bedroom had a shower / sauna room with a seat!
- Balcony- had a electronic retractable awning that was perfect for our morning yoga session
- Lots of spices! No need to buy salt, sugar, pepper, etc!
- Lots of seating, chairs, sofa, and dinner benches
- Clean hardwood floor- perfect for pets to run around
- Lots of games available to keep us entertained- from board games to pool table, foosball, ping pong, and a Wii U and Xbox 360 system.

Cons (Not really a con..)
- Only 2.5 bathrooms not really a con but can be challenging with 10 people
- 2nd garage is difficult to access, tight driveway due to the landscape of the rocks
- No curtains in the living room. High windows that give you lots of sun but can cause some glare when watching TV
- Refrigerator - Every time you open the fridge the temperature goes up several degrees. It takes several hours for the temperature to go down several degrees. Make sure you keep the door closed, when it gets slammed, one side of the door can open and let cool air out.

Overall, it was a spacious, lovely, homey, and clean home that accommodated our group of 10. We would definitely be back soon and highly recommend this home to any family or group of friends.

Also, Tahoe Getaways offered excellent and professional service. They were able to assist with check in, requests and any questions you may have. They even phone you the day you check in to tell you when the home is ready and offer any assistance you may need. Friendly service and was available every time we called.
