Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at this cabin! We were in 6 people total and the cabin was very comfortable. The kids had a blast playing in the woods and snow and we walked at the trails behind the house everyday. One morning we even saw a bear walking by the forest behind the house at 7 am, we were very excited! The kitchen is very well equipped and showers work very well too. We recommend that you take you own pillows, the ones in the house are very soft. We also suggest that the owners add a couple more light chairs to the dining table. The chairs around the dinner table were nice but very heavy to use. The location was great, close to NorthStar, close to Safeway, close to Truckee and close to the lake. You can actually walk to the Lake if you take the trails behind the house. Thanks for the great time we had at your house!

The photos were accurate, but the cabin was even better than I expected. Everything is updated/remodeled from the stone in the bathroom to the appliances in the kitchen. And all the furniture matched! This place definitely had the cabin feel without being tacky. The amenities like gas fireplace and laundry room were a definite plus. The bedrooms were a good size with queen beds and plenty of extra bedding and pillows. The deck is huge, but didn't make much use of it given that we stayed here in December. The hiking/cross country skiing trails behind the cabin are perfect if you need some exercise, and the cabin is only a seven minute drive to Northstar. This cabin was perfect for six adults and we all agreed to book this cabin when we vacation in Tahoe again.

My husband and stayed for almost a week in August and enjoyed the peace and quiet, the high quality furnishings, and convenient location. Hiking trails right out your back door thanks to the cross country ski trails. Would definitely stay again.

Our family had a great time in the Tahoe Vista area. The cabin was clean and in a great location to bike, hike and close to the lake.
