The pictures don't do this home justice! The views were breathtaking from almost EVERY room in the house! This was a perfect retreat for our family and friends being super kid and grown up friendly. A little out of the way, but totally worth it for the privacy you get here! With fresh snow we were able to have endless fun sledding and snow shoeing in the back "yard" that seemed to never end. The home was clean and well worth the cost. My only annoyance was that there was only 2 garbage bags and 1 paper towel roll, not nearly enough for a week stay. The customer service from my initial inquiry to check out was impeccable. We hope to be able to rent this winter family getaway again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here with 3 families and had plenty of space to avoid kids or just be alone. The game room is downstairs (good for kids) far away from the kitchen and living room upstairs that are great for adults to socialize in. The game room is next to the bunkbed room, so that limited late night adult time in the game room. The location was perfect for our needs with King’s Beach nearby for food and supplies. We skied at Sugarbowl 40 minutes away, but Northstar is much closer. The house was clean and has beautiful lake views throughout the backside. The king beds are memory foam firmer beds that we found to be very comfortable. I wish I could’ve found the brand name, because I’d like one for home! The queen bed was softer, but loved by my friend who likes a softer bed. The master bedroom has no window coverings, so bring eye covers unless you want to be up with the sun. We had a few maintenance issues - ice maker not working, clogged sinks in master bath, heated floor not working in master bath, and jets not workig in soaking tub. We called Tahoe Getaways our second day there which was NYE, and a maintenance person came that afternoon. He was able to clear the drains and attempted to fix the floor heater and ice maker. He left us with ice trays as a back up. He said they would address the other issues after our stay. None of this disrupted our trip and we appreciated the immediate response. We loved staying here and would consider renting this fabulous house again. My only criticism is the rental policy on supplies. It states “a started supply of the following...” which includes toilet paper and garbage bags. We payed $5000/week to stay here. I would think enough toilet paper and garbage bags would be supplied to accommodate the number of people a house can accommodate. When traveling, having to get basic supplies can be a nuisance. Hotel rates are typically cheaper and include these basic supplies. Regardless of this policy I would rent from Tahoe getaways again.

We were 7 adults and 5 young children, and everyone enjoyed themselves. With the exception of a backed-up bathroom sink drain, everything in this large home worked beautifully. Thank you!

The house is in a great location, was spotlessly clean when we arrived and had the picturesque view as advertised. We ate in every meal and found more than enough kitchen pots/pan/prep items to satisfy us. The prior review regarding lack of platters was accurate (and no, 2 plates don’t replace a platter). Loved the windows on the back of the house (especially when a pair of gray wolves passed behind the house early one morning). The master bedroom fireplace was fabulous. We look forward to renting it in the future.
