I rented this condo for 12 days for my honeymoon and it was perfect for everything me and my husband wanted to do. The closet is stocked with beach chairs, a wagon, 4 sets of snorkels, a cooler, and more. We were really active vacationers on this trip and saw some of the most amazing reefs just a 10 minute drive north in Honolua Bay. Although we didn't discover it until our last day, we did most of the snorkeling in the front yard of the resort. The Honokowai Beach Park (5 min walk or you can snorkel over) seems to be a local family hang out and the Hawaiian people are very friendly. Sea turtles are seen every day in the reef, so close, we also saw an octopus about 20 inches long swimming at the beach park! It felt like a local experience and certainly less commercialized than other areas on Maui. You will definitely need a rental car for your stay here, there's some things to do that you can walk to from the condo but there's so much to see on the island a car is a must. The condo itself is nothing particularly lux, but ocean sunset views from the patio are so amazing (whale/dolphin watching if you bring binoculars!), the beds are comfortable and the whole place has black out curtains, perfect for our jetlag. There's also morning workout classes most days of the week which I enjoyed. We totally loved the location, great coffee shop, restaurants and sandy beach all within walking distance. We easily could have spend 5 or 6 more days in the area.
