This was a an excellent affordable vacation unit for a couple. First, the view is beautiful! The unit had everything we needed. This management company was easy to work with and provided all the kitchen basics and ample supplies for our stay (toiletries like shampoo, body wash, hand soap, facial tissue etc. and kitchen staples like dish soap, paper towel, sponge, limited spices and cooking oils, even a starter supply of coffee). I would also add, the kitchen had been updated and was better than in the photos. The Kraft Maid cabinets, deep sink, and stone counters/backsplash all looked rather new. There wasn't a couch/sofa (instead just two large chairs) in the unit as in the pictures, but it didn't matter to us, we rarely sat inside and when we did, we were enjoying the covered balcony. The parking was easy, check-in at the front office was seamless, and communication from My Perfect Stays was clear. My only critique is the limited number of beach towels provided as beach and pool goers, 1 per registered guest. It isn't the most ideal, but there is a laundry machine and supplies so that's helpful if you need fresh ones during the stay. We would stay again, for a longer period of time, and next time we would take advantage of the well stocked kitchen equipment for cooking. Also, Papakea Resort itself has well maintained grounds, easy beach access, it is only a short walk from Papi's, Sergio's, Food Trucks, ABC, Country Times Market, my personal favorite Fish Market, Duke's, and it is a very short drive to some of the best beaches around. It is well positioned between the main Front Street area of Lahaina and Kapalua, so you can enjoy the entire West side with ease. As frequent visitors of Maui the location offers a lot of access and the walkable beaches from the unit are nice on their own. If you are up for longer walks we enjoyed walking to Castaways and for an extra long walk Whaler's Village (also a short drive with parking if you aren't up for about 40-45 minutes on foot).
This unit offered A LOT for the price and I don't think the value could be beat. I would recommend it for up to 2 guests!
