Loved the ocean sounds, slept comfortably with windows open.

We enjoyed staying at Hono Kai in Maalaea. The location was convenient to explore the island. The beach is just few minutes walking. The room was clean, comfortable bed and kitchen has everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner. We really liked that there were beach towels, beach chairs available, extra sunscreen, hat and noodles for swimming. We would definitely come back for another visit.

Centrally located on island. Quiet neighborhood. Great value.

Great location with walking distance to beach and the condo was cozy. Unfortunately we were on 3rd floor when someone there was doing some type of construction renovations on 1st floor and started construction at 7am until 5pm while we were there. We heard alot of arguments going on with tenants. The weather was overcast and extremely windy and we were disappointed that Maui waters were murky and black. Not welcoming ocean waters. Maui just wasn't like it was 20 years ago. Everything on island was very expensive.
