The stay was clean, close to the shore, and the location made driving to other parts of the island a short breeze

Place is very clean and has all the amenities needed for a great vacation. the room is right next to a very private beach with beautiful sand to walk on and great views of the east side of the island. Great location with less than a 30 minute drive to all major hubs on Maui. only 15 minutes from the airport

We absolutely loved the location of our condo at Hono Kai! This ground floor condo has an awesome patio that is just steps from the beach. The pool is also right out the front door. We really enjoyed staying in Maalaea since the location is so central. We were able to explore a lot more activities on Maui with shorter drives.

Wonderful place! Cozy stay for 2 or 3 people. Super well stocked condo that had everything we needed. The building is right next to the beach. We were in A3 which is on the ground floor and 1 unit away from the beach front as such, but still has nice sunrise & ocean views. It's on the ground floor and had a nice patio seating area with lush greenery around it. Parking is tight (space wise and number of spots wise) but was surely manageable. The location is kind of in the middle of nowhere, and is centrally located between all the main places in Maui (about 20 mins drive in any direction). But this area itself has very few stores, restaurants or shops one might be interested in. That would be the only downside. But that also means you have secluded beaches to yourself here. Overall, it was a wonderful place.

Excellent location, feet away from bay and pool

This place was awesome! The location was central to everything we wanted to do, and it was a wonderful place to come back to at the end of a long day. We also loved that it was not too "touristy" and crowded. There was a nice mix of tourists and locals at this location. Having the beach right outside of our door and hearing the waves crashing against the shore every night was lovely. We also greatly enjoyed the AC and the fans... they kept us nice and cool on hot days. My only complaint about this place is that it needs a DEEP clean and a bit of updating. The place was generally clean, but there was a layer of dust and some dirt. Overall, I highly recommend!
