The Whip-O-Will house is in a quiet and friendly neighborhood, surrounded by trees and filled with bird songs. We spent our morning coffee and other meals in the screened porch which is a perfect place to relax, enjoying the fresh air and the birds. The house is not big but can comfortably host six people. We spent our days away from the house, exploring the National Seashore hikes and beaches, so all we needed was a place to sleep and to cook our meals for which the Whip-O-Will house was perfect. My family has used NEVR for years and have never been disappointed in any of their recommendations. This was the second year staying at 41 Whip O Will in Harwich. This is a lovely , very clean, charming home. It has a beautifully maintained garden and is in a convenient location. I would give it 5 stars but the owner does not provide linens which is costly when you are traveling. There are also very poor quality pillows in the home and only 2 for the master. They do not have pillow protection. The owner also does not run the air in the summer leading the home to smell a bit mildewed. We could really tell when we got our clothes back home to SC. It is a beach house, so do we didn’t mind. If you are booking this property plan to bring your own pillows. The ones at the home are not great. It would also be nice if a hairdryer was available for traveling guests. I’ve stayed at many Airbnb’s across the country and this small item is pretty standard. The company was excellent to work with. I would not hesitate renting this home again as I have family nearby who can provide the missing items easily and were able to make the beds for us prior to our very late arrival at almost midnight.
