Fantastic house, our family of 9 enjoyed it! Already rebooked for next year

Everything about this home and property were wonderful.

The house was clean and in great condition. The location is private, close to the Keiki pond and has stunning views of the ocean as well as Kona. All in all very good value. One note, the pool is very deep, 6/7’, and does not have a section that’s shallow. We had toddlers and young kids so we had to be hyper vigilant around the pool. Also the hot tub is only heated for three hours out of the day, from 6-9pm. There is no access to the controller.

This was our third year staying at Hale Kai Olu and once again, it was an incredible experience for our family. The staff is professional, friendly, and always quick to respond to any questions or needs we had. The home itself is immaculate, beautifully decorated with old Hawaii charm, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the love and care that’s been poured into this home. There's a true sense of welcome, warmth, and respect for the rich history of the island. It sets the perfect tone for a meaningful island adventure and invites you to immerse yourself in the cultural heritage of the Big Island. After a day of exploring, this home is the perfect place to return to. It's incredibly relaxing with breathtaking sunsets every evening and the soothing sound of waves crashing at night, it’s easy to fall into a peaceful, restful sleep. It truly feels like a sanctuary. What a fitting name Hale Kai Olu… We wholeheartedly recommend Hale Kai Olu to anyone looking for a private gated beach front secure vacation rental just a short walk from town. Just be warned… once you arrive, you might never want to leave!
