Absolutely beautiful place to stay...good location and in a guarded neighborhood that made you feel safe. The pool was absolutely amazing!!! The flowers and the folage was beautiful. Just a nice relaxing stay. We never even turned the tvs on, mostly sat outside and enjoyed the pool and the amazing sunsets, every night.

We enjoyed our stay at Keauhou Estates Hale Kuhinanui Way. The home was centrally located and very comfortable and well equipped. The downside was the gnat/ant issue. With no A/C, leaving the windows open and ceiling fans on was a necessity. A/C was really not needed - the outdoor temperature and ocean breeze were comfortable. The issue was that holes in the screens and/or loose fitting screens allowed gnats/ants and other flying insects (not to mention a few small lizards) to enter the house. By the last few days of our stay, hundreds of dead gnats, etc. littered countertops. We applied a liquid bait, which worked, but there was an ick factor! Gradually, that became a problem that interfered with our enjoyment of the home. Get the screens fixed and I would give the home a 5 star rating.

Aloha Shane, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your recent stay with us. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your time on the island. We are sorry to hear the gnats were an issue. Because of the recent rains over the last several weeks, we are seeing an unexpected influx of gnats and ants all over the island at the moment, and unfortunately they are so small that they get through a lot of screens. Geckos are a part of island life and will find the smallest of cracks to sneak through at times. We will have maintenance inspect the screens. We enjoyed hosting you folks! Property is well setup and good for a large group. The open kitchen and sitting room is nice. Neighborhood is safe and good for walking. Parking in the garage is tight but manageable. Views from the pool with sunsets is a plus. Great restaurant and grocery store within a mile. Drive to Kailua-Kona is 10 to 15 minutes, depending on traffic. Truly a great place.
