Was exactly what we were hoping for. The concierge service was great and helped with ideas and booking things to do we otherwise would have missed.

Kawena 5 is a very special place for our 'ohana. The last 2 times our entire family was able to get together was at this special place. Wonderful memories were created hanging on the back lanai, dinner table, card table, and activities and excursions launched from home base. This is a wonderful place! Mahalo nui Scarlet. The Ws

This is a beautiful home that accommodated our large group exceptionally well. Even when we weren't exploring all that Hawaii has to offer, just being "home" was itself a pleasure. The pool was so much fun. The kitchen is very well equipped. The view is gorgeous. It made our stay in Hawaii that much more memorable. And a bathroom with every bedroom was a huge bonus. We recommend this rented highly!

Our stay in the house was excellent. It was everything we hoped for. The 5 bedrooms each had their own bathroom. The kitchen had all the things we needed for cooking and grilling fish from the nearby seafood market. Even with A/C only in the bedrooms, there are ceiling fans in all the other rooms and it never got too hot inside. The gym in the garage was adequate for morning workouts. The outdoor seating areas were very comfortable with plenty of space. The pool was really refreshing along with the hot tub. The location of the house is very convenient being a couple minute drive to the grocery store or down into the shopping areas and restaurants of Kona. The neighborhood is nice and quiet too as we could here the waves all the down at the shore in the morning. We ended up buying a cooler and boogie boards for our stay, and hope that future families renting the house can utilize them too. I’d highly recommend the house for a family or larger group.

The house was amazing and everything we had hoped for. We had 8 people, 5 adults and 3 kids in the age range 11-13. The bedrooms each having their own bathroom was great. AC in the bedrooms only and not the living spaces was never an issue as there were fans and it never got too hot inside. The kitchen had everything we needed, plenty of refrigerator space, and the grill worked great. The pool area was fantastic for morning coffee and listening to the waves (yes you can hear them from pretty far away!) and swimming and sunbathing throughout the day. Plenty of shade outside too if needed. The gym equipment in the garage was adequate. The neighborhood was nice and quiet for walks and longer runs up the hill or down into Kona.We purchased a cooler and some boogie boards to use and leave for future guests and their trips to the beach or around the island. We rented beach chairs and a canopy for a very decent weekly rate at a shop in Kona.I would highly recommend this home to anyone.
