We had an amazing time! The location was ideal. Walking to the shops and other resorts was more than perfect. It made our stay on the Big Island very enjoyable.

Kona Vacation Rental was outstanding in providing guest services, responded quickly when we needed something, and always was kind and extended the Aloha spirit. We appreciated their commitment to excellent customer service ( we are also in hospitality and know what it takes to stay on top of all) - so many thanks from all of us!

As advertised, the condo was very clean, probably the cleanest we have ever stayed in. It was tastefully decorated and well taken care of. AC was sensitive and worked very well, beach gear was sufficient and in good condition. Beds were comfortable and the sofa felt fresh. We had a great stay and will definitely return. One minor complaint: After we left the condo, we had questions about the property damage protection fee and asked Darin 3 times by sending messages through VRBO but did not get any response. We eventually called VRBO and got the answer.

I took a quick look at our communication threads as they were extensive during your stay, although we did answer each message in a detailed manner immediately upon receipt, providing you with detailed answers to all your questions, I do acknowledge that your question regarding the refund of the insurance deposit wasn't addressed properly, although the other questions in the emails were. Please accept our sincerest apology for this oversight. I will personally make sure that in the future all responses address all points brought up in the emails so know question is left unanswered.

We enjoyed our stay at the Fairway Villas. The location was very quiet and a short 10 min walk to the Queen’s Marketplace and about 5 to the King’s. We enjoyed the view from the balcony overlooking the golf course, mountains and watching the palm trees sway from the trade winds. Also the grounds are beautifully kept. My kids enjoyed having separate bedrooms with one staying in the loft and the other downstairs. It was great to use the beach amenities from towels to boogie boards, um fella and chairs. On another note...the AC unit is extremely loud on the balcony. It was hard to enjoy meals or sit there for too long when it revved up. and the kitchen could use a drying rack for hand washing dishes. The sheets had to be rewashed on two of the beds upon arrival. They just didn’t smell fresh.

Aloha.... Thank you for taking the time to review our property and providing us with feedback regarding your stay. Yes, the a/c compressor is located on the balcony and perhaps it should have been placed on either the roof or the ground floor. If I had built the place, that's what I would have done. Most of the time our guests simply turn it off the a/c while enjoying the lanai. The unit is well insulated and does a good job of staying cool while off. Our standard policy is to have all linens, towels, blanket cleaning prior to your arrival without exception. I will personally investigate this further. We will add a drying rack to the list of items in the unit. Thank you for your input. We hope that you'll stay with us again in the future.
